SELLER REMARKS

Here's a little secret that not a lot of folks know: the mid-60s Thunderbirds are the next big thing. With big horsepower. Lincoln-grade luxury. and astoundingly affordable price tags (for the moment). cars like this 1964 Thunderbird Landau coupe make great hobby cars that can actually be driven every day.

Showing just 39. 28 miles. which is undocumented but believed to be the actual mileage. this handsome code F Arcadian Blue T-Bird is a great combination of originality and restored components. The paint was done not too long ago. and exactly captures the icy blue paint that was this car's original hue. The long-straight bodywork doesn't tolerate sloppy workmanship. not with all those dramatic lines and moldings in the sheetmetal. so the fit and finish is quite impressive. As a low-mile car. this one doesn't show any obvious issues in the usual trouble spots above the fender skirts and you'll note that the shape of those skirts directly mirrors that of the front fender opening. Classic Thunderbird details abound. from the hood scoop to the wide. rectangular taillights that still resembled jet exhausts. this car is unmistakable. even if you're not a T-Bird expert. The chrome and stainless trim remains in excellent condition. particularly the bumper that frames those famous taillights. The white top with fake landau irons (which define the Landau model) is in excellent condition and gives the car a luxurious personality.

The handsome blue bucket seat interior is as luxurious as anything you could buy in 1964. Both front buckets and the cool wrap-around rear seats were given a facelift. while the rest of the interior appears to be high-quality original stuff. Ford's famous "swing away" steering column greets you when you climb in. working with the power driver's seat to make getting comfortable quite easy. The instrument panel is a wonder of design. with a wide speedometer up top and four individual pods for the auxiliary gauges. all seemingly cantilevered over the wooden veneer that makes up the console. Power windows. a power antenna. and a newer AM/FM stereo radio are niceties that will make this car a fine highway cruiser. and with the big trunk you'll never run out of space for your family's gear.

All 1964 Thunderbirds came standard with a 300 horsepower 390 cubic inch V8. which delivers creamy-smooth acceleration to rival an electric motor. Sure. it's got a nice V8 rumble. but this 'Bird excels at eating up the miles without breaking a sweat. The engine bay is tidy and clean. with original paint on the inner fenders so you can see just how nice this low-mile car really is. Proper gold paint was used on the air cleaner and valve covers. which sit atop a black engine block. It starts easily and runs quite well. letting off just a quiet burble from the twin tailpipes out back. A 3-speed Cruise-O-Matic transmission was the only choice. and with 3. 00 gears in the 9-inch rear. this car doesn't mind 75 MPH cruising speeds. Stock wheels with full hubcaps and 205/75/15 whitewall radials ensure a smooth. quiet ride.

With this much charisma. this Thunderbird is definitely going places. Smooth. powerful. and elegant. it's the perfect ambassador for the high-style '60s. Call today!
