Built on July 16th. 1964. this early production 1964 1/2 Mustang has recently undergone a complete rotisserie restoration back to showroom condition. Not only does this car look stunning. but she is a blast to drive. Whether you are cruising to a show. or taking road trip. both the quality of the Ford and its easy going driving characteristics will leave a wonderful and lasting impression that will keep you coming back for more.

The Mustang has received a bare metal re-finish on both the topside and the undercarriage. The body of the Mustang has been repainted in the original Rangoon Red using a modern two stage application. The paint was professionally applied. and has been hand sanded and buffed out to a mirror shine. The paint detail work in the door jams and trunk are high quality and the engine compartment and trunk have been nicely finished as well. All of the chrome is new and the original stainless has been restored and polished. All of the glass is in excellent condition and all of the rubber trim is brand new. The convertible top is new as well on this awesome pony car.

Originally equipped from the factory with a 260 CI engine. the Mustang now sports a a mildly built 289 powerplant. The motor has electronic ignition. a mild cam. Edelbrock performer intake and an Edelbrock carb. The motor has just enough pep over a stock engine to make it fun without sacrificing any reliability. Cooling the engine is a modern aluminum radiator with a thermostatically controlled electric fan which takes some drag off the powertrain and increases the cooling performance quite a bit. The engine exhales through stock exhaust manifolds and a 2" dual GT exhaust system. The engine has an audible rumble but nothing too aggressive for this awesome little cruiser. The transmission is the stock C4 and the rear end is the tried and true Ford 9".  

The Mustang has a completely restored suspension complete with properly detailed front control arms. rebuilt steering box. dual bowl master cylinder conversion. all new brake lines and completely rebuilt brakes. Also new are all of the shocks and the Mustang has a new set of Magnum 500 wheels clad in Firestone white stripe radial tires. The car has a nice factory ride and the radial tires are a big improvement over the original poly glass tires.  

The interior of the Mustang is crisp. new and has been restored with a two-tone Pony interior. Also outfitting the interior is center console with arm rest. Air conditioning. Rally Pack gauge set up. and modern AM/FM radio with a CD changer in the trunk. The trunk comes equipped with the correct mat. matching spare cover and tire jack and tool set.
