Just arrived in stock here at Targa Florio Classics is this very rare 1972 Lancia Fulvia Montecarlo edition. prepared to Group 4 Rally specification. In fantastic condition inside and out and lovingly prepared for asphalt/tarmac competition. Very competitive in the right hands with a few rally wins under it's belt. It comes with an Historical Technical Passport and is built in accordance with appendix 'K' with homologation number 3020. Original Autovettura documents show pages upon pages of service history stamps dating from 1973 through to the present.
EXTERIORFinished in the very rare Azzurro Francia (French Blue) exclusive only to the Monte-Carlo edition Fulvia along with the lightweight aluminium doors. The Aluminium bonnet and boot are in the customary matt black with Monte-Carlo badges. The Group 4 arches coupled with the 7x13 Campagnola wheels and lowered suspension give this Fulvia a very aggressive stance. 2 Carello Megalux Rally Spots provide the extra lighting needed for night stages.
INTERIORThe interior has been stripped. It's a purposeful cabin and feels like any rally car should. There is a lovely custom rubber floor mat.  The windows provide great visibility all round. There is very little in the way of sound deadening so you hear every mechanical nuance. The OMP TRS seats are figure hugging and provide excellent lateral support and are valid until 2014. Accompanying the OMP seats are a set of red OMP 5pt 3inch Harnesses. dated until 2013. All are FIA certified. There is a heavy duty FIA Girola 6pt Roll cage fitted painted matt black to tie in nicely with the interior. A custom fuses and relay are easily accessible on the centre console where just above you will find the fuel pump switchgear and digital voltmeter. There is an OMP fire extinguisher should the need arise. An FIA approved battery isolator is present which is connected to an external kill switch.
ENGINE & TRANSMISSIONThe raucous 1298cc. V4 engine is delightful and starts on the button (literally). It idles nicely and fitted with twin carburettors on velocity stacks it sounds as if it's ready to go at any moment. Blip the throttle and the rev counter hits the red line eagerly.  The 5 speed dogleg short shift. close ratio gearbox is nice and tight and finds each gear with ease. Accelerating through the gears is a thrilling affair with a cacophony of noise and a thunderous tone coming from the large bore exhaust. A true retro rallying experience!
WHEELS. TYRES. SUSPENSION & BRAKESThe wheels are a set of gold 7 X 13 Campagnola alloys. These are in great condition and are shod in a set of Kuhmo asphalt slicks. The lowered and stiffened suspension provides a firm ride and the handling is very responsive. The brakes are the original Girling 4 pot calipers which bring the car to a stop with no fuss.
