The body is 100% original paint.   No body filler.   No evidence of collision repairs anywhere.   Minor rust down low on the quarter panels. in front of and behind the wheel openings.   The body has no damage other than a few dents and dings that are easily seen in the pictures.   All the expensive. hard to get trim is there and in good condition with the exception of the rear antenna masts which are broken.   Note the rear dual antenna factory setup which is certainly a rare option for 1964.   All the hard to get mouldings. lamps. lenses. ornaments. nameplates. rocker panel mouldings. etc. all in good condition.   Just clean. polish. replate and you are good to go!

 

The interior is in excellent condition.   You can tell it has been stored indoors most of its life.   The dash is in clean excellent condition.   Even the original vinyl dash pad is not warped or cracked.   The original dye coloring is still 90% there.   This is just a beautiful fully optioned dash.   It includes clock. am radio. factory air conditioning. windshield wiper washers. etc.   A very nice 1964 Dodge 880 Golden Anniversary edition package. The door panels are very very nice.   Where else are you going to get a set of 1964 Dodge 880 2dr door panels?  Even the original armrest pads are in nice condition.   All interior garnish mouldings are intact and in good condition.   The head liner is a foam board which is another cutting edge item for 1964.   The rear speaker shelf is also in good condition.   Even the original patterned upholstery on the back seat.   Man it just jumps out at you for being so nice.   Has the original carpeting. pedals. etc.   The steering wheel does have some cracks and would need repair.   All you would need is new weatherstripping. new upholstery on the front seat. new head liner and the interior would be show ready.

 

Open the huge trunk and you will see the complete original jack in place. looks like it has never been used.   The spare tire looks to be about 30 years old. original bias type tire.   Also in the trunk is the complete original floor mat and side trim boards for use on the upscale high priced models.   Some water has been getting into the trunk. not sure how.   Either from below or from under the weatherstripping.   There is a spot on the trunk floor where it is rusted out. maybe a 3 or 4 inch square.   Otherwise the trunk is quite nice and in good condition.

 

Under the hood is very clean and original.   The hood opens very smooth. like a low mileage car.   Everything under the hood is original except the common tune-up parts: belts. hoses. cap wires. spark plugs. etc.   The positive battery cable has been replaced otherwise everything else under the hood is original including the radiator. a/c equipment. ignition coil. alternator.   All are 1964 issue.   Even the original washer bag is in place.   The car has not been driven in a long time. it does roll.   Engine is very tight.   I put a ratchet on the crankshaft. it feels like it wants to turn but I did not want to force it.   I suspect there is no damage to the engine but it has been sitting for 20+ years.   Needless to say. the car needs complete mechanical restoration.

 

Brief History: The car was originally bought by an older gentleman from a small town in the middle of Kansas.   This car is an upscale. high priced. very optioned. big block 383. a/c luxury car.   When the older gentleman passed away. his estate had the local Dodge Dealership sell the car.   And that is where I bought it.   It has a clear. open title. no liens.   I brought the car back from Kansas 12 years ago.   It has been in storage every since.   I have unfortunately decided that it is a project that I will never get to so I am putting this rare car up for sale.

We are a professional establishment and have the means to store this vehicle and help with delivery. We are easy to get along with and will be more than happy to help and to be accommodating. However. the buyer is responsible for all charges associated with shipping or storage of this vehicle. If you wish to have it shipped using a service. we will gladly cooperate.  Car show delivery is always a possibility.

TERMS OF SALE

Winning bidder must send deposit of $500. 00 (non-refundable) to us within 3 business days of auction end. and make arrangements for remaining balance at that time.  We will ONLY accept payment in the forms of a certified check. money order or cash.  The remainder is due within 7 business days of auction end. If no contact is made within 3 business days we reserve the right to re-list the vehicle. sell it to the next high bidder. or sell it otherwise.  Please arrange financing prior to bidding.
