Up for auction is an extremely rare 1969 Mustang Grande S code-390.   According to Marty report only 215 in this color combo with this engine were built. I am by no means a ford expert so I do not know if this is fact or fiction.   This is the door tag info which might be of some help to you ford guys.   Top line is 9R01S101789-  Line 2 is 65E-4-1A-10J -72-9-U.   I  do know the history of the vehicle which may be of some interest. nbsp; The original owner of the vehicle worked at the San Jose Ford plant were he also lived. this is were this car was manufactured and exactly how he ordered it.   He parked it in 1979 which also was the last time the vehicle was registered. which may explain the odometer which reads 18783. cant prove it so I am not going to state it is correct.   He called me a couple of years ago and asked if I wanted to buy the car and I did so I am the second owner.   I have been building Mopars since the seventies and I thought this would be no problem. I could not have been more wrong. I can put a 426 hemi into a 1968 Dart and have more room than this one has in the engine bay. nbsp;sorry got side tracked. anyway I have gone out of my way   to make sure that this car went back together as close to original as possible. and there also have been some modifications.    This vehicle retains 98% of its original sheet metal-exceptions front valance. original had a tear and could not be repaired. and front fenders. originals were modified to mimic the 1969 Boss fenders and could not be repaired.   The body of the mustang is 100% Rust Free. not so much as a pin hole of rust or scale. have a video card with a complete album of the car stripped to bare metal.   Vehicle was sealed with PPG epoxy primer and sealer.   Paint is a base coat BASF Diamont. and the Clear is Spies Hecker. nbsp;  The engine was pulled apart and all new gaskets. seals.  rings were put in.   The block is standard bore never punched and still has the hatch marks in the bore holes like the day it was new.   interior is all new. headliner is new. dash is original and has some cracks around the speaker grill. top is new. front windshield is new and not the cheap Chinese crap. hood scoop. hood pins and front chin spoiler are new but not original to the car. thought it would look cooler.   Wheels are new and are the 15 x8. nbsp; Tires are Brand new BFG T/A and are all the same size not staggered so you can rotate them.   I also put in the one piece horse shoe in the engine bay as well as a Monte Carlo bar to stiffen the front end to help with the handling. nbsp; which means I had to build a custom air cleaner for it as you can see in the pictures.   I could go on for ever but all you have to do is email me with any questions I will answer them right away. Now for the legal crap.    THIS VEHICLE IS SOLD AS IS WERE IS WITH NO IMPLIED WARRANTY. SHIPPING OF THIS VEHICLE IS THE RESPOSIBILITY OF THE BUYER I will assist as much as possible.     Payment- A 10% NON REFUNDABLE DEPOSIT IN THE FORM OF CASH. PAYPAL. OR WIRE TRANSFER IS DUE WITHIN 3 DAYS OF AUCTION CLOSE. nbsp; THE BALANCE OF THE MONIES ARE DUE WITHIN 7 DAYS OF AUCTION CLOSE IN THE FORM OF CASH OR WIRE TRANSFER.   Again if you have any questions please email. or you can call me at 805-509-9268.   Good Luck and happy bidding
