You may have noticed a trend lately. with these big K5 Blazers slipping in and out of our showroom with increasing frequency. These are obviously no longer just old SUVs. they're gaining a lot of support in the collector car community. making this 1988 Chevrolet Blazer 4x4 a very attractive proposition.


It's easy to make a big truck look good with clever two-tone paint. so when the time came to refinish this one last year. it received a factory-style blue-over-silver paint job. The results speak for themselves. and as you can see in the photos. this big rig looks amazing. 1988 was a while ago. but the color combination is timeless and this truck looks at home on today's highways and dirt roads as much as it did twenty-five years ago and will probably continue to do so for decades to come. Fit and finish are to OEM standards. which means it's nice but not so nice you're afraid to get it dirty. and they went the extra mile and made sure the composite rear top was in great shape before spraying it to match. Bright chrome bumpers add the right amount of glitter for an '80s cruiser and details like the grille and sliding side windows are in good condition. With that lift kit. you'll also be pleased to see a pair of tubular steps under each door.


The interior is a nice mix of new stuff and nicely preserved original components. The list of fresh equipment includes seat covers. carpets. and headliner. and they all look great. Gray fabric is all-day comfortable and the bucket seats give you a commanding view of the road. The door panels and dash are original and show a little age. but like the rest of the truck. they've obviously had a good life and aren't dry and cracked from UV exposure. Options include power windows (with fresh motors!) and locks. cold A/C with an R134a refrigerant upgrade. a tilt column. and a lockable center console with cup holders that's as useful as it looks. The original '80s cassette radio was dumped in favor of a more modern AM/FM/CD head unit with powerful 6x9 speakers mounted in the rear storage compartment. There's also a full-sized spare living back there. so you don't clutter up the truck's good looks with an exterior mount.


The engine is a rugged. dependable. and torquey 350 cubic inch V8. still dressed in full factory equipment. Sticking to the OEM components is always a smart idea. especially when reliability matters. and it means that this big rig starts easily. idles well. and runs down the road with a minimum of fuss. Thanks to a quick-shifting 4-speed automatic overdrive transmission. 2-speed transfer case. and stock axles. it's actually a decent highway cruiser that would make a great go-anywhere vacation vehicle for the outdoorsman in your life. The lift kit gives it a towering presence and the ability to climb over some seriously broken surfaces. and with those massive 35x12. 50-15 Mickey Thompson off-road radials and shiny chrome wheels. it's ready to rock immediately.

TERMS OF SALE  

1. Per the eBay User Agreement. by placing a bid you are entering into a legally binding contract and are committed to purchasing the vehicle described above. The details of this commitment are further outlined in the eBay User Agreement.

2. Vehicle may be sold by Streetside Classic Cars prior to the end of the auction. Streetside Classic Cars reserves the right to end its auctions early or to cancel bids solely at its discretion and shall not be held liable for any such cancellation.

3. The winning bidder is required to contact Streetside Classic Cars within 24 hours after the close of the auction to finalize the details of the transaction.

4. A $1. 00 non-refundable deposit is required within 48 hours of the auction's close.   This deposit reserves the vehicle and removes it from the market. Acceptable payment types for deposit are: credit card. wire transfer. cashier's check. and money order.

5. If winning bidder does not contact Streetside Classic Cars and submit deposit within 48 hours of auction close. vehicle may be made available to the next highest bidder or another qualified buyer on a first come. first serve basis.

6. Streetside Classic Cars has represented this vehicle to the best of its ability. Prospective bidders are encouraged to contact us directly to provide additional information or answer any questions.

7. Please be aware that all pre-owned vehicles. regardless of age. mileage. or manufacturer are subject to cosmetic wear and mechanical failure. Streetside Classic Cars encourages bidder to have a personal inspection completed prior to delivery to help ensure your satisfaction. Third party inspections are to take place prior to a vehicles shipment or delivery.

8. All vehicles are sold "AS IS" and with no warranties expressed or implied.

9. Final or winning bid price does not include shipping. tax. title. or registration fees. It is the purchaser's responsibility to provide for any state or local taxes and shipping expenses resulting from the sale.

10. We can assist you in delivery through our network of private and commercial carriers. Most of them can deliver the vehicle to your driveway. We assume no responsibility for damages or delays incurred once a vehicle is in a shipper's custody.

11. Streetside Classic Cars bears no liability and shall be held harmless for any complications. expenses. or damages resulting from a failure to meet these terms as they have been set forth and established herein.

12. An additional documentation fee of $199 will be added to the purchase price at the time of sale.
