1982 LOTUS ECLAT RIVIERA - 67,000 Miles Rebuilt Engine

1982 Lotus Eclat Riviera For Sale.

Rare limited edition Riviera. one of only 78 made. registered in December 1982. making this one of the last Eclats. from 83 the Eclat/Excel was produced with different body styling.

 The Riviera is essentially a S2 Eclat with the 2. 2 litre 912 Lotus engine and 5 speed manual Getrag gearbox. the Riviera has a lift out sunroof panel. boot lip spoiler. different bonnet vents and Riviera stickers.

Dry stored since 1998 confirmed by tax disc and SORN declarations.

Genuine 67. 00 miles.

Non age related plate.

Engine and carbs rebuilt in 1998 by the previous owner. zero mileage since. the previous owner claimed to have started the engine on a regular basis. I have not yet run the engine as the cambelt is now 15 years old.

Interior removed by the same owner in 1998 ready for new carpets and headlining. due to injury the owner never was able to attend to completing the renovation. hence the reason for being off the road.

Five new tyres. fitted a couple of years ago. label can be seen still on the front tyre.

I am just about to start the re-commissioning of the car. it will take a few weeks so the car will not be available until the middle of May. but it can be viewed any time. a small deposit will secure the sale until the work has been completed.

Work to be completed before selling:-

New cambelt.
Check tensioner. should be new anyway.
Original airbox and trunking refitted.
New oil and filter.
New spark plugs.
New fuel pump.
Fuel tank cleaned.
New fuel filter.
All electrics checked.
Entire braking system checked with new parts as necessary.
New brake fluid.
Entire cooling system flushed then filled with new coolant.
All suspension bushes checked and replaced if necessary. all appear good at first glance.
New beige carpets.
New headlining.
Leather cleaned. dyed where faded and treated.
New exterior waste trim.
Wheels refurbished.
New MOT.
