Selling my beautiful Ro80. have been looking for years for one and finally found a low mileage example with the right colour and interior colour combination. Not even done 60. 00 miles yet and it shows. interior is superb. the drivers seat is as good as passenger side with no wear at all. carpets are perfect. The rear parcel shelf is uncracked. dashboard is cracked but have a spare one.

There is evidence that this was a show car. when I bought it the laquer had peeled off by what looked like over zealous polishing but paint was still intact. I picked it up from a barn and took it straight to a paint shop and stripped the car ready for a professional re-spray. I stripped the car myself. I have so many stage by stage photo's but can't put them all on here I removed all the glass. front doors. bonnet. boot. wings. and sunroof panel. Rust was in normal places on front wings and a little on front door corners. there was no rust under the wings and infact when I removed the rubber from front wing to inner arch there was unpainted untreated metal which had no signs of corrosion. I removed front doors by the pins so I would get perfect alignment when re-fitting. and I achieved that. I left the rear doors as I wanted to disturb as little as possible.

All welding on the wings is done to a high standard and panel gaps are as they should be. before fitting the inner wings they were covered in waxoyl on top of stone chip. the inside of the front wings were treated in the same way. there is no overspray anywhere and the body has a gun finish which is how I wanted it. it can still be wet flatted and machine polished. everywhere else has been liberally coated with waxoyl. I took apart cleaned and lubricated everything I took off. I cleaned the front lights inside and out and they look nearly new I also have 2 nearly new foglights to go with it.

Unfortunately I am now in a situation where I need to sell as I will soon lose my storage space and do not want to leave it in the elements.

The car runs and drives. engine is very good and starts readily with very little smoke. I have fitted the twin carb setup but still have original single choke carb.

The car needs finishing but no hard work is required. the roofliner needs putting back in and then the interior will be complete. wheels could do with a minor re-furb and I have 4 nearly new Michelins to go with it although the tyres on the car are still very good. front and rear window chromes need to go back on and then the interior will be complete.

For an m. o. t the car will require front calipers to be freed off overhauled or replaced. new horns which I have fitted need to be connected. front low beam lights need to be fixed. apart from that everything works fine. even the sunroof operates smoothly. Throttle cable has snapped and am waiting for replacement (hurry up Phil !) when this is fitted the car can be started and driven and all gears can be selected smoothly. I can supply a donor car for parts and I think it has everything this car requires.
