1989 Volvo 240DL wagon 5-speed

Selling an 89 volvo wagon that I and family members were using as a daily driver. but is now an extra car for the last month and I have limiting parking options for it. The car runs well. has a recent tune up as of last year. and has a 5-speed manual gearbox that shifts nicely. Last year I also did all new brakes. and put front lower control arms on it and had it aligned. It has good tires on it. and is in pretty good shape inside with a decently comfortable interior. Its an old car. has some scrapes. dents. a few trim pieces missing. and a some rust here and there. but would make an excellent winter car. or college or school/first car. Mechanically its in pretty decent shape and these cars are pretty reliable to begin with. Have a box of extra parts to go with it. The bad- above mentioned cosmetic issues. needs a radio. the original only works every now and then. (ill throw in a used CD player I had lying around you can have with the car) and the blower motor can be noisy if it has a mind to annoy. and the odometer is broken (volvo problem). Also the check engine light (another notorious volvo problem) is illuminated. It seems to be stuck on. has been on during my entire ownership. and most of the previous owner. It passed state inspection with flying colors with the light on when I had it inspected as well. I could not find any reason its on after a full service. A note on the rust. the car has some rust starting on the rear tailgate. and by far the worst rust on the whole vehicle is on a crossmember on the driver side. There are pics of this. The passenger side has a hole starting that is not as bad. but also needs attention. There are two other smaller rust holes in the driver rocker panel. and at the end of the driver floor pan. there is a seam of rust starting. All of these will need attention eventually. but the cross member is the worst on the car. Basically its a nice solid feeling old volvo in the classic body style you can immediately start to use and enjoy. These cars are tanks. and they have incredible interior space and storage as a wagon and drive very well. The car is located in Central Falls RI. It has a current RI inspection. and VERY IMPORTANT- RI does not issue titles past 10 years old. The car comes with my registration. bill of sale. and a DMV certified and signed "statement of title law". which explains RI law. and will act as a title for registering the car in another state that does require one.
