Now that the dust from the beginning of the car auction season has settled. let me present to you. one of the rarest muscle car finds of the new year.    Up for auction is this very rare 1967 GTA Mustang convertible.   Car has been sitting for many years but runs. stops and steers under its own power.   This is a true one of a kind. very rare Collector car.    It has almost every option available on a Mustang in 1967. and as the documentation (Marti Report) shows is a true one of one.

I have been restoring classic cars (mostly mustangs) for nearly 30 years. and when I found this one. just could not resist the challenge.   It needs extensive rust repair. but when finished will be one of the rarest classic mustangs on the planet.    THIS IS A PROJECT.     It will need inner rockers. torque boxes. front frame rail extensions (under front floor boards). nbsp; complete floor pan. and rear frame rails.   Doors and fenders have very little corrosion and could be reused. The trunk floor pan is also solid with minimal rust. nbsp; but with the replacement sheet metal options now available. nbsp;it would probably be easier to replaced than reuse.    The core support. inner fenders and shock towers are solid and straight as are the outer rocker panels.   I have spoken with multiple shops in the country. that can fix the rust. and get it ready for paint.   The price was very reasonable. and would eliminate any future issues often found in completed cars.   NO GUESSING. its NEW and ITS DONE.

Although this seems like a huge undertaking. it really isn't.   one of the hardest tasks in restoring cars is acquiring the right car. and then finding all of the original parts.       This car has every hard to find part still intact.   No searching for that one. hard to find item.   All brackets clips and screws are untouched.     The 1967 mustang deluxe interior. is a one year only production. and therefore. nbsp; some of the often missing parts are virtually impossible to find.   The odometer shows 64k. but I have no way of verifying.  I have a clear Texas title from 1982.

The car was part of a fleet order as specified in the documentation. and has a few items which I have never seen on another Mustang.   (Chrome bevel on bottom portion of rear quarter window)  Hhmmm?  Produced just weeks before the Detroit Auto Show in December of 1966 and ordered by a dealer who at the time was heavily involved in the show might have some significance.  Maybe the person who ordered this car wanted a Shelby but they were not yet offered in a convertible so he went this route?  Who knows. but 47 years later its rarer then a Shelby.

This car warrants a concours restoration.   If you hurry you could attend a 50th anniversary show with it. and you will take home a GOLD.     I can assist in the total or partial restoration.   Costs would of course depend on what level of completion you desire.   I have the resources and knowledge to make it happen.   Go all original or pick your colors.   I have already purchased some of the new sheet metal. nbsp; (inner frame rails. torque boxes. and various other body panels) and willing to include them in the sale.    I can also acquire the rest of the parts that will be needed to repair and restore. and can include them in a container with the vehicle if being shipped overseas.

I will assist in both domestic and international shipping. nbsp; The car is currently located 30 miles north of Atlanta Georgia.   I have a buy it now in mind for those who cant wait as well as a cost estimate to complete to any level you desire.   Call me with your questions.   I am not a dealer. just a classic car guy.    678-521-3388.
