This car is a great project I just don't have the time or money! A rare find in amazing condition! All ready for paint! All badges. trim pieces. do come with it! This was a one owner car and sat properly stored for many years but when being moved from original owners property the engine did accidently flood. It also does need new tires all around and a new slave cylinder. Interior is in decent condition. There are small cracks in the driver seat and on the dash but overall in very good shape for its age. All the interior pieces are in it. even the original sound system/stereo! The headliner also needs to be replaced. All the glass/windows are in beautiful condition no cracks etc! Everything is intact!!! The body has no rust and bondo has only been used for filling in pings to make a great paint job!
As the current holder am willing to negotiate a completion price if someone wants a completed project. I can fully repair it and paint it the color of your choice. I also do custom airbrushing and I have examples and references available.
The Mazda RX-3 was an automobile sold in the 1970s. It was intended to be smaller and sportier than its brother. the RX-2/Capella Rotary. In 1972 all rotary engines had their die-cast rotor housing coated with a new process: The new Transplant Coating Process (TCP) featured sprayed-on steel which is then coated with chrome. giving greatly increased engine life. It was available from September. 1971 through 1978 in Super deluxe coupé. Deluxe sedan. and station wagon forms. The deluxe coupe was heavier (884 kg vs 864 kg) and carried an optional body stripe. clock. rear defogger and the centre console/high armrest and collapsible steering column. All Series 1 RX-3s came with the 982 cc (2x491 cc) 10A. It was based on the compact Mazda Grand Familia (808/818/Mizer in export markets) and was sold in Japan as the Mazda Savanna. Sold from 1972 through 1978 in the United States. the RX-3 was extremely successful.
The 12A is an "elongated" version of the 10A — the rotor radius was the same. but the depth was increased by 10 mm (0. 4 in) to 70 mm (2. 8 in). Each of its two rotors displaced 573 cc for a total of 1146 cc. The 12A series was produced for 15 years. from May 1970 through 1985. In 1974. a 12A became the first engine built outside of western Europe or the U. S to finish the 24 hours of Le Mans.
