1979 SWB 88” Diesel Land Rover
· Ex Royal Navy.
· One Former Keeper from New
· First Registered in 1987 (after decommissioning from the military).
· Finished in Original Royal Navy Colour Scheme and still has the original internal Royal Navy identification stickers.
· 2 ¼ Diesel
· Recently re-commissioned by ourselves with the following:
o New Fuel Tank
o New Injectors
o New Injector Pipes
o Brakes Full Overhauled
o New Front & Rear Output Seals
o New Handbrake Shoes
o New Oil & Filter
o All Fluids checked and changed.
o Repaired Front Footwells
o New Interior Mats
o New Front Seats
o Very Good Bodywork
o Very Good Chassis and Bulkhead
o Excellent Engine and Gearbox.
o Four Wheel Drive and all Synchromesh working faultlessly.
o The Engine starts and pulls very well.
o Comes fitted with Crossply Extra Grip Tyres. which are very suited to this model.
o The Spare Wheel can be relocated to the bonnet to provide more interior space.
o At an additional cost. a Safari Rear Door can be supplied and fitted.
o We can also convert this Land Rover to a full Soft-Top is required. for an extra cost.
o Delivery is possible. depending on location.
o Will be sold with a new MOT.
This is an excellent example of a classic Land Rover. and is in very good condition. It is ready to be used for off-roading. towing or everyday driving. It comes with an interesting military history and the Royal Navy colours makes it more unusual.
In view of the extreme weather we have been experiencing in the UK recently. it is an ideal standby vehicle or recovery vehicle. especially considering that. being a diesel. it can be kept for many months without the fuel deteriorating. unlike petrol.
