Jensen Healey 1973   I am losing my storage. and patience so it must go.
Good bits;Just 2 previous owners and only 63. 00 miles from new
The V5 is present and up to date and in my name. It becomes tax exempt as of 1st April 2014
It's a complete car that was parked up. in a garage. 20 years ago due to a damaged windscreen. and then forgotten.
It has a very good up and running Lotus 907 twin cam engine with twin Dellorto 40's there is no smoke or rattles and it sounds lovely. It has a 4 speed manual gearbox.  It has a very good original interior. even the carpets are clean with no wear. The wings are all good with no rust at all (new ones were fitted not long before being parked up) The floors are good. There looks to be some issues with the boot lid and the bonnet but still no rust and perfectly serviceable. There is a hard top. a tonneau cover and hood cover as well as the hood. Good original alloys Stainless steel exhaustOriginal 8 track and a box of tapes Abba. Mike Oldfield etc to put you in the period
Bad bits;It was the 70's. all cars were built badly then. The only reason this car reputation was besmirched in a more highlighted way than most was because it was built badly at a much greater expense (it cost more than an E-type new!) anyway that's helped to make them rare today. and if you can see past the bad reputation and see it for what it is. it has survived this far and deserves a chance
There is no windscreen and they are rare. like the car. but Martin Robey's Jensen specialists have new ones at £300. I have also sourced a good 2nd hand one for £150
The sills need replacing. The previous owner. who owned the car from 1976 till last year. 37 years! thought he was protecting it by filling the sills with expanding foam to keep out moisture. it doesn't! it actually traps it in. Anyway this explains why the sills are rusted but the rest of the car is pretty solid. It has not 'broke it's back' or sagged at all and the door gaps are perfect and the doors shut with a lovely soft click that a lot of other classic cars would envy. It has had a home done paint job. again over 20 years ago when the new wings were fitted it's not a good finish but has probably been significant in preserving the body work. The original colour is indescribable and you either love it or hate it. I like those 70's browns and greens and oranges. and had planned to return it to it's original colour It's a sort of a kaki khaki greeny mustardy shade. If you have seen 'The Bridge' on BBC (Swedish/Danish detective series. recommended) it is like the colour of Saga's beautiful 911. So it's the shittiest built expensive car in the shittiest colour available. if that doesn't appeal to you i suggest you buy a nice MGB! safer bet all round baaah!. be different go down the road less travelled. just let your heart rule your brain. go against all good advise from friends and family. be drawn by a passion as opposed to good business sense. and then you will be rewarded with a super rare car built at the climax of the death of the British motor industry. What's not to like? Who dares wins.
My description is open and accurate and i have emphasised the worst bit's to give absolute clarity. there is nothing else hidden.
These cars have been under valued for too long. it can't last it's not rocket science or insider trader stuff just reality look at all the other once slated cars that are now big money. This may well be the last one of these offered at such a low price. and genuine bargain for some one. All serious enquiries and offers are welcome  please phone 07597 138808
