1983 Nissan 280ZX Turbo Coupe 2-Door 2.8L

I purchased this vehicle last Aug or Sept 2012. with 97. 25 miles. from someone that had it sitting in a barn for 6-7yrs. I owned over a dozen of them growing up but haven't had one in over 10yrs. Fell in love with these cars by default cause at 6'4". I do not fit well in the 84' and up 300's. I bought this car excited to drive it and turn wrenches on it. I drove it for the first week then put it on jack stands for the next 2-2. 5months. I originally was only going to do a few things to it like brake pads. oil/fluid changes. ect. ect. I guess you could say. I couldn't contain myself though as you will see with the list of things I replaced on it.
I got what I wanted out of this project and ready to start toying with something else. This car is ready for someone to take over the body/cosmetics part of the project or just keep it the way it is and just drive it. This is a AS-IS auction w/ NO warranty/guarantee.

2 Lists of parts I've already replaced w/ NEW. 1st list is parts/things that were bad at time of purchase. 2nd list is parts/things I just enjoyed replacing and thought the car deserved.

List 1. power steering tension pulley bearings. battery. tires (cause dry rotted). exhaust from outlet of down pipe to tail pipe. a/c compressor (recharged with r-12). rear hatch shocks

List 2. water pump. thermostat. both radiator hoses. alternator. starter. distributor cap & rotor. spark plugs. spark plug wires. pcv valve. radiator. dual electric radiator cooling fans. oil drain pan gasket. wire connector plugs for injectors/ temp sensors & mass air flow sensor. both ground cables (battery to body and body to motor). positive battery cable. fuel filter. oil & oil filter. rear differential fluid. full clutch kit (clutch. pressure plate & throw out bearing). clutch master cylinder and fluid. rear brake pads. rear drilled rotors. rear shocks. frt brake pads. frt drilled rotors. frt brake calipers. frt wheel bearings. frt wheel seals. frt brake caliper hoses and hardware. frt ball joints. frt tie rod ends. frt struts. full interior carpet kit. headliner. frt & rear wiper blades

Explanation of some of the part replacements.
TIRES. nbsp; Falken Ziex ZE912. Size 215/60R15
EXHAUST. of course is not replaced with factory original. It isn't available anymore even if I wanted it. It's a new muffler. resonator. tip and size (I think) is 1/4 or 1/2 larger than stock. It is NOT a loud exhaust.
A/C COMPRESSOR. system was empty. Found leak to be O-ring seal on back of compressor. When I opened it up to replace. I found internal rusting. So replaced whole compressor.
RADIATOR & DUEL COOLING FANS. 1st 2 fan clutches installed defective out of box. 3rd one I didn't feel was engaging at correct times. so replaced with the duel electric fans. While trimming an edge off radiator. as directed. to install the duel fan unit. I nicked the radiator causing a leak. So replaced radiator with new instead of repairing. I do still have to newer fan clutch and original fan blade assembly. It is included in this auction.
OIL DRAIN PAN GASKET. wasn't leaking but had to drop pan to check the oil pump bearing to ensure there was no blockages or build up in hole of bearing. It was in good condition.
WIRE CONNECTORS FOR INJECTORS & MASS AIR FLOW SENSOR. Z31 wiring harness repair kit from FricFrac on the Zdriver. com forum.

Interior. the original carpet color was silver like the seats. I replaced the carpet with color black. The strip of carpet on the bottom of the door panels was also silver. I had it dyed black to match the carpet. The inside rear tail light panel and the driver side rear panel vinyl was missing. I had them reupholstered. As mentioned before. the sun visors and sun shade covers for the T-tops are missing. The original T-top storage bags have also been dyed black. NO cracks in dashboard. Printed FULL service manual comes with the car.

Exterior. Yes. they are the original turbo wheels that came with the car but couldn't buff them out. So I decided to paint them to match the body paint color. There are NO water leaks at T-tops. windows. hatch or windshield.
This car is currently titled. tagged. insured and ready to drive.

THIS IS THE LAST YEAR MADE OF THE 280ZX w/ all the options. Digital dash. Turbo. 5 speed. T-top.

This car is also locally listed for sale. I reserve the right to remove this vehicle from this auction at any point.
