Seller's notes: This car is in need of restoration. There are some minor parts missing but nothing to serious. There is some rust that needs treating and some minor bubbling. There is also a scratch on drivers door. The interior needs restoration but good points are that all vinyl is in good condition with all door panels and dash panels in good condition for the age with no rips, even the seats vinyl panels are fine, its just the hounds tooth cloth parts that need re-trimming. All four hub caps are there and wheels are original, tyres are only good for rolling the car around. The current engine is a 13b rotary from 1974 and not the original 10a rotary engine,it has Dellorto side draught 48 carb to go with it. The engine was rebuilt around 10 years or so ago for another car and not much used as far as I know. It was not rebuilt by me. Engine does not run but should with some TLC as some things still need to be done to make it run.

Mazda 110S Cosmo 1968 Paris Motor show car for sale

Current customer rating: current rating for this car(2.1) based on 453 votes

This car was at the Paris Motor show for Mazda in 1968  and I have two black and white photos of it from that time.

This car I very rare because it is not a Cosmo as sold in Japan but I is the export model which was rebadged and called a 110s by Mazda. Very few were exported so numbers may be in single figures.

It is the L10a model and is unusual also in that it is a changeover model that is short wheel base but has the later prettier front nose on it.

It is not registered but I have spoken to DVLA in the past and they have said that if it has an MOT and insurance and a letter from a suitable club such as Mazda Rotary Club UK who can verify the age then it can be registered with an age related plate.

This car does need restoration both externally and mechanically too but is very sound in all the important areas like the bodywork and it would be worth doing due to the extreme rarity of it being a 110s model and also it being the Paris Motor show car. The underneath is not rusted through and is very sound. At some time in its life it has been repainted red from the original colour which was white.

Bad points are the tunnel has been cut slightly to mount another Mazda gearbox. this is easily remedied and in the engine bay there are some alterations made to fit the 13b engine.

See Jay leno's Cosmo in this vid. this has been modified but what you can end up with can be seen here http://www. youtube. com/watch?v=ms5Zws6CXFs

I had all new lenses fro the ear lights made around 10 years ago and they are identical to the original. the rear light surrounds need to be re chromed. all other brightwork is stainless steel.

Hello,
I'm French and very interested by this car. I would like to propose you a PX with an old second hand VW 1500S from 1965 with 26000 original kms and completely original.

http://www.thesamba.com/vw/forum/viewtopic.php?p=6551474#65514 74

I'm a rotary owner and should be very happy to restore this 110S and ride it. It could be a good history to make it come back in France.

Thanks
Regards
