Berliet TBU 15 CLD Wrecker.
Crew cab 4 Seats
Crane with 270 slew
10 ton lift
Will suspend tow 10 ton
Winches front and rear. 12 ton pull at rear with snatch block to double up. Will drag truck with all wheels locked easy on a straight pull. Truck weighs 21 ton. 8 ton Straight pull winch centre mounted comes out at front.
1959 So MOT and TAX exempt. Also HGV exempt so can be driven on normal car licence at 17 if you can get Insurance. Cheap Insurance.
Pretty much costs nothing to own if you can get free fuel from garages who have drained tanks with mixed petrol-diesel.
Real useful truck but I'm just not using it enough at the moment. Real handy around the yard.
Crash gear box. 5 speed. Hi and low range. 6x4 and 6x6 with diff lock.
Very user friendly Truck. simple winch controls. crane controls etc.
As far as I know this is the only Berliet wrecker in the UK. There are 2 others with troop carrier bodies and only 1 is on the road.
Very good condition over all with pretty much no rot. Defiantly not a fast truck. will cruise at 40-45mph will do a little more at a push.
Registered as a wrecker so no need for loler tickets.
