Up for sale is my 1972 Suzuki LJ20V. I purchased this LJ20 in 2004. completely rebuilt the brakes. and had a local body shop clean up some surface rust and paint the exterior to match the original color (interior paint is still original!) Wheels were repainted the original white. and five new Hakkapellitta 165R15 snow tires were mounted (these are the closest available size radial tire to the original 5. 60x15's. ) The bumpers and original side mirror posts were also repainted white. and new. OEM side mirrors were installed. The front bumper is original; the rear was added by a prior owner. but I thought it fit the vehicle well. so I kept it. A quick tune up. and a flushing of the fuel and oil injection systems was enough to get her running good. and a new OEM voltage regulator and generator brushes got the charging system working properly. The keys were missing when I bought it. but I was able to find some NOS locks and keys. and installed them. Also installed are seat covers that were designed to match the originals exactly. as well as NOS white floor mats. All turn signal and tail lights were replaced with new OEM lenses. New decals were applied after painting.

In 2005. I trailered this rig to Yellowstone and Colorado. driving it over Engineer Pass (elevation 12. 00') with no problems. In 2008. it was taken to the Canadian Rockies for more forest road driving. again without any problems. It has also driven many FS roads and moderate 4WD trails in western Washington. along with some local errands. In the nine years I've owned it. I've put a little over 1. 00 miles on it. and never had a problem. It is 100% complete. and all original. with the exception of the rear bumper. an electric fuel pump. and a vintage CB radio (which works. ) It runs and drives just fine. and all electronics. gauges. lights. etc. work just fine. OEM points currently reside under the distributor cap. but I have a Pertronix electronic ignition that will be installed if the buyer wishes. The rest of the engine is bone stock.

This is a great opportunity to own an excellent example of a rare vehicle. It can be enjoyed as is. or become a show winner with very little work.   Since the interior paint is original. there are a couple of small rust spots.   Also. the engine compartment was repainted. but the color does not exactly match the exterior (this is only noticeable with the hood open)  I will include color copies of the parts and service manuals. along with the original owners manual. Please note that. being stock. the top speed is only about 50 mph. so freeway driving is not recommended! Title is current and in my name. with no issues. and it is currently registered as a collector vehicle in Washington state using the original license plates. I've really enjoyed this LJ20 over the years. but I have too many toys and not enough space. and decided this would be the one to go.

Disclaimer stuff: Vehicle is being sold as is. no warranty. Winning bidder must pay a $500 deposit within 48 hours after auction ends. Vehicle is for sale locally. therefore I reserve the right to end the auction early if vehicle is sold. Prospective buyers are welcome to ask questions or view the vehicle. Delivery is up to the buyer. although I can help with loading. and I can deliver up to 250 miles. if desired (for a fee). lj10. com has a wealth of information on these rigs. and the forums are full of knowledgeable. friendly owners.
