A sedan delivery from one of America�s Top 5 post-war automakers is now available at MotoeXotica Classic Cars. This is one of only 1. 85 ever produced by the defunct Pontiac motor division.

The Pontiac Streamliner was a full-sized car produced from 1942-51. It was a B-body style car (eventually renamed �Torpedo�). The second generation of these vehicles began in 1949.

The 1950 Pontiacs use the popular 1949 envelope bodies with revisions to trim and appointments. The horizontal center grille bar wrapped around the corners of the body. The cars with an eight-cylinder engine had four different body styles (seven including deluxe models). one of which was the sedan delivery.

These multipurpose vehicles were an all-steel body on a 50-27 chassis. The adjustable driver�s seat and hinged passenger seat were standard. as was the outside rearview mirror. They were aimed at the fleet market like Chevy�s deliver sedan. but the Streamliner had a V8 engine and was considered a prized upgrade over Chevy�s bowtie.

Production of Streamliners ended in 1951. but MotoeXotica acquired a late-model delivery sedan with our newest showroom addition: a 1950 Pontiac Streamliner Sedan Delivery.

The most interesting aspect of this delivery car is the underside and highly detailed engine bay. Take a moment to admire the wonderful undercarriage and its restoration. This rarely seen sedan delivery has benefitted from a ground-up. nut-and-bolt restoration as shown by the immaculate underbody.

The exterior is a correct black color that shows elegance. The rear chrome bumper is in a great condition and will shine in the mid-day sun as you win trophies at the next car show. The front bumper has some minor pitting but gives the car a vintage look.

The interior has been updated. Correct seats in a sedan delivery are tan imitation leather bench seats. However. this improved interior has two black vinyl bucket seats. modernizing a retro delivery car. The steering wheel is original along with the dash and instrument cluster.

Under the hood is a rebuilt Silver-Streak Inline 8 engine with 268 CID power plant. This will assist the driver in making sure the deliveries will make it on time. The engine bay is highly detailed and shows quality right down to the new wiring loom and connectors.
