A stunning early 911, still fresh from a concours-quality rotisserie restoration, and finished in a beautiful color combination.
It is equipped with an all-alloy 2.0-liter ‘901/14' flat-six producing around 130bhp, which drives the rear wheels through an engaging five-speed manual transmission.

This car is understood to be one of just 499 911 L models built for the US market.

It has recently been imported back to the US from the UK, and comes with the UK V5C registration document.

The short-wheelbase 911 L was a limited-run car, and was effectively a ‘federalized' 911 S for the North American market, with exhaust air pumps for emissions purposes.

This particular car was completed in July 1968, and was sold to its first owner via PC Southwest in San Antonio, Texas.
It is finished in the particularly handsome combination of Dark Green Metallic paintwork with Brown leatherette, and rides on 15-inch chromed and polished steel wheels wrapped in Pirelli CN36 tires.

The car is accompanied by comprehensive photo documentation and paperwork evidence of the total rebuild, including a Zip file of restoration images.

It comes with the original tool kit, some original pamphlets, and one key. An official Porsche Certificate of Authenticity is also present.

The bodywork has been completely restored, including some replacement panels such as new front wings, bumper, and rear decklid.
Its Dark Green Metallic paintwork is still in pristine condition following the bare-shell repaint, while the underside of the shell was also refurbished and professionally finished as shown in the gallery. There is no known damage to any exterior trims other than a small hairline crack on the right rear tail light.

The new interior is immaculate as you would expect, with no wear or damage to the Brown leatherette, and with the correct textured finishes to the door panels and seat centers.

There are no known electrical faults.

The car has covered just 497 miles since its complete mechanical restoration, including a rebuild of the engine, suspension, brakes and steering; incorporating a raft of new or refinished parts as shown in detail through the photo gallery.

This Porsche 911 L is a superb example of the breed, representing the US market version of the early 911 S. It has been treated to a truly remarkable rotisserie restoration to concours standards, and would now make a stunning addition to any collection of exceptional Porsche cars or other classics. Whether the next owner wishes to exhibit it at the finest events, or use it as intended on the road, it is sure to delight.
