One Owner, Red Dirt Special! 1980 Chevrolet K10 Stepside 4x4 Manual Trans Silverado. Truck was puchased new by the only female owner in 1979 to use on the ranch - Southern Oklahoma / North Texas red dirt ranch and fields. A long time Dallasite, they drove the truck north occasionally to the Ranch in the 80's and then left it there for the last 25 years. It was required to be 100% ready at all times; by the ranch hands when they came up to stay. It has always been parked in a carport or metal barn. I have an email from the owners spouse describing and documenting the truck. Some info has been redacted to protect identity. It is a Silverado with some unique options and short some others. Has cold AC, Cruise Control, 4-speed Granny Low Manual Trans, Locking Front hubs, wood bed with step side, dual tanks. Manual Door Locks and Windows. All gauges and switches work. Cruise is intermittant. Was bought with custom stripes to match interior. Looks to have every JC Whitney option available. Wheels, grille guard, etc were installed when purchased, but no sales docs to verify. Look to be period and patina correct. Mileage is accurate. Pedal and interior wear seems to verify, Drivers seat material is thin. All engine parts seem to be original. I just rebuilt the original alternator, but it stopped charging last time I drove it - not sure what I may have done wrong? I just installed a new AC Delco Gold and will include original. Maybe it can be rebuilt again and saved for all numbers matching. Truck is Rust Free and extremely original mechanically and all panels. Was repainted and bed wood replaced 20 years ago due to scratches from trees and ranch use. Stripes were poorly hand painted to replicate originals and vinyl stripes were installed years ago to clean up the look. Looks great, but alas not orginal paint. I do have a window felt and seal kit included with the truck. A couple of cracks in the dash and the door panels were dyed when truck was cleaned up and painted before storage. A true Texas truck, used in Oklahoma. Undercarriage is as we found it, with red dirt. We have not detailed or overly cleaned. Just a washed, buffed and waxed. Tires are new, a little small, but what they always ran. Wheels were on truck since they have owned it to our knowledge. Not sure why it is black and gold. She had to have it. Maybe a Steelers Fan?? Not very Texan, LOL. It is rare to find a one owner, square body, manual trans, Silverado, 4x4 and under 50K miles - Shows, just over 32K original miles and I stand behind it.
