1965 Sunbeam Tiger MK1A Green

This is a very  clean. straight. rust free driver. Not concourse or perfect. but a very nice car. This is the real deal Tiger with TAC# 0589. I have owned this car over 9 years.

 The good-

 Engine professionally built out to 347 cu in with aluminum heads. Performer intake and new 4 bbl Holly.   Engine has about 1500 miles on it. I left stock exhaust manifolds on and had engine built for more power certainly. but also reliability.

All new brakes and rear cylinders. master cylinder. clutch master and slave cylinder. rebuilt front brake calipers w/ SS pistons

New clutch and pressure plate

Flushed out and treated gas tanks

Griffin Aluminum radiator

Most recommended cooling mods made including oversize fan. additional electric fan. blocked  horn holes.

Rebuilt heater core

Evans waterless coolant

All new seat cushions and covers

New trunk platform and side panels

Rebuilt complete front end by Tiger Auto

New 15” Panasport wheels with new tires (approximately 500 miles)  I have stock 13” Tiger rims with hub caps as well but without tires that will go with car if desired

Complete hardtop with excellent rear window and stainless trim (I have trim off so I won't lose it)

Stock linkage installed. Have Hurst shifter for Tiger if desired

Years of receipts from both my work over the past 9 years and the previous owner going way back

Some spares / old parts  e. g. fan belt. old brake cylinders. old brake booster. stock heads (from 289 not 260). crank. radiator. fan. etc.

The not so good- pictures should show most of this

Some flaws in paint including a ripple where some of our new weird gas got under the paint at the filler but car looks great from 5 feet. I have not touched the paint in my 9 years.

Some minor marks on side windows from use

Chrome has some spidering

Some minor flaws in carpet

Some minor typical Tiger delamination of windshield around edges- hard to see in pictures. I have a new one I will sell if desired with seals and adjustable mounts all from Sunbeam Specialties

Horns were removed to block holes and have not been re-installed. Horn button is on side of column due to aftermarket steering wheel from previous owner. Have old stock one in rough shape.

Windshield washer system not hooked up (have parts)- just never needed it and it was low priority

Tach is erratic- never got around to modifying  for electronic ignition

Speedo not working. I put new cable on when I fried the old one against the exhaust. but still not working. I suspect plastic gear needs to be replaced as it likely stripped on the inside when old cable bound  up. Cheap part and easy fix. Was working before I fried the cable. Not sure therefore of exact mileage

Dashtop is nice but not perfect under close inspection. I have a new one I will sell if desired.

Other minor clean up things need to be done including hooking up vent controls. second heater air hose. span >  etc.

As mentioned above I have some new items that weren't immediately necessary that I bought over the years. I will give buyer first rights on them if desired. otherwise will list separately on Ebay. List includes new windshield with rubber seals and windshield adjusters. new wiring harness. new crashpad. span >  some new interior trim and panel pieces not including door panels. and Traction Master anti-hop bars.
