74 Bricklin SV1 " Movie STAR CAR" from the movie "Deadline Auto Theft"

This car was sold but buyer FAILED to PAY. so I had to relist. (I did get fees back)

This is the car from the Movie "Deadline Auto Theft and Gone in 60 seconds 2" from the famed director and writer of the ORIGINAL "Gone in 60 seconds" H. B. Halicki.

I purchased this car a couple of years ago when I lived in California and was working on finishing it up when my parent's got ILL and I moved to Portland to help out. now I have more than I can do helping out my parents and don't have the time to finish this project.

This is NOT a CLONE or a REPLICA car. this IS the ORIGINAL car used in the movie with documentation.

Please check the many Bricklin website's for more verification on this as the "movie car". the car was purchased from the Estate of H. B. Halicki. it was stored in the warehouse that is used in the movie. and is located just off the LA river. the stunts were coordinated and performed at the warehouse' back yard. just off the LA river. the area that is used in the movie. This car has had "cruise control" added for the movie. as they didn't originally come with cruise control. The stripe was also added and is further verification of its history. as well as documentation that comes with this car.  

This is #57 off the line. and is only 1-of-78 safety Red cars produced in 1974. The 74 year model is the most desired year. because the Acrylic is the best and has the best shine. (words of Terry Tanner the foremost authority on Bricklins) and it has the 360 4 BBL AMC engine and the Chrysler Torque Flight transmission. these years came with the MOST H/P (250hp) of all the years of production. starting in 1975 they went with a Ford V/8 2bbl engine with ONLY 200 hp

Please look closely at ALL the Pics as they make up part of the description of the car as well. All the body panels are the originals and are made from ACRYLIC impregnated with the body color. this was a major innovation that Malcolm Bricklin pioneered. in the early years Malcolm and John DeLorean had the Idea of working together to make a car made completely out of composites. however the technology was not available till the late 1990's. now its very common place. Because they collaborated  both the Bricklin and the DeLorean cars are similar in style and design and this is no doubt why they both have gullwing doors and were BOTH way ahead of their time.  

Bricklins are known for their body panels delaminating. this one however has VERY LITTLE of this. the typical places are visible in the pics. please notice the seam separation. this is the MOST COMMON malady. and is present in 99% of the unrestored Bricklin's still on the road. please note the pic of the hood. there are some small cracks or some might call it crazing in the acrylic. So please note the pic's and ask questions if you want to be fully convinced that you want this car. BE SURE TO ASK YOUR WIFE or your MOMMY IF YOU CAN BUY IT. as I'm sick of Pu**y guys biding and not being able to purchase it because their WIFE said they cant. BEWARE OF "PLANEMAN" (and some numbers) as he is 1 of these guys  

The car runs and drives. but it has been in dry California storage 23 years so I've have hade to do some work on it. However it does start . run and movers forward and back. I've run it a block or two and up and down the transport trucks but that is about it. so to the best of my knowledge all major mechanical systems work. unless otherwise described) the headlight vacuum system works but needs new vacuum lines. ALL the gauges work. but the O. P. gauge needs a sender and the fuel gauge works when it is warm out.

The wheels are factory and in very good condition with no scrapes or blemishes on the wheel or lip. the Brakes. front and rear have been replaced and includes New Rebuilt front Calipers w/ pads. rebuild Master cylinder. new wheel Bearings. brake hoses (front & rear) New rear wheel Cylinders. shoes. hardware kit. flexible rear brake hose. New Shocks F & R. new Starter. New 3 row radiator. all new cooling hoses. Fresh Fuel tank (boiled out and cleaned) New Belts. New Door lifts (cylinders) All the fluids have been drained and refilled including the Differential.

 This car is not perfect. BUT is in the ORIGINAL CONDITION and that makes it so valuable as a piece of movie and Automotive history.

The Engine and drive train are original. the car has a small trans leak. (shift shaft). the doors have the original hydraulics system with NEW Hydraulic lifting rams. I would recommend installing the Air pump system since it is much more reliable than the old style hydraulics. the rams can also be used on the air system as well. They have the air system for sale on eBay. so its easy to find. however if you want the Hydraulic system that can be finished with OE parts as well ALSO for sale on eBay.

All the Glass and RUBBER parts related are in good condition with no cracks or chips in the glass and the rubber is flexible and pliable condition. the 1/4 windows have been resealed as well. All original parts that I have will be included with the car. including the Original Radio. and the A/C compressor which has been removed (don't know why) however all the ancillary parts. condenser. AC hoses. nbsp;mounting brackets come with it or are still on the car. The interior is complete and together. I have removed the door panels to do window work. but they are in great condition and are like new. as is the rest of the interior.

Even though the car runs and drives. (what I've described above) it is sold "AS IS" with NO warranty implied or specified. If you have questions ASK. if you don't ask you only have yourself to ask why YOU didn't.

I can help you with locating a shipper. as I just had it shipped up to Portland a couple of months ago and the cost was reasonable. I would guess you could expect to pay around $400 for West Coast shipping and between $600-$900 for the rest of the country.  HOWEVER the COST of shipping and the shipper you use is totally up the you to decide and to pay for.

Payment must be as specified. ONLY. a $400. 00 NON REFUNDABLE deposit on PAY-PAL and the Balance is BANK TRANSFEER only. This is the ONLY PAYMENT METHOD I WILL TAKE.

You will have 20 days to have the car shipped or I will start changing STORAGE from the end of auction at the fee of $35. 00 a day till picked up or shipped out. If you need a little more time please contact me so we can see if we can work something out.

AGAIN this car is SOLD "AS IS" with a more than reasonable reserve.
