The car has 52. 00 original doc. miles rebuilt 3 speed manual trans. Runs and drives great I have been driving it for the last 3 weeks to work 50 miles round trip and just a little over a gallon of gas. This is a great car and fun to drive a real head turner you can't drive this car anywhere without getting your picture taken. A great car to take to your local car show you will have crowds of people around it all day. The car gets excellent gas mileage too @ 35-50 mpg. you save on gas. Introduced in 1949 by famous Cincinnati entrepreneurs Powell Crosley. Jr. . the Hotshot was a tiny machine only 145 inches in overall length and a mere 1. 00 pounds soaking wet. Its career as a sports racer was brief and barely chronicled. more as a curiosity than anything else. Despite that. the Hotshot did have one claim to fame in winning the Index of Performance at the 1950 6 hours of Sebring. where it tooled around at an average speed of 52 miles per hour. a blistering pace considering that its power came from a tiny inline four-cylinder engine.  The Hotshot's little overhead cam engine is its most fascinating feature. Displacing only 725cc or 44 cubic inches. it made 26. 5 horsepower at 5400 rpm. an unheard-of-speed and the highest specific output of any American power plant. Adapted from a WWII Navy generator. it was one of the first American production engines with an oversquare bore/stroke and an overhead cam.
