1966 MG MGB

Thanks for stopping by to take a look at our very cool 1966 MGB Mark 1 Roadster.  If you're looking for a sporting car that has been sorted and is ready to drive and enjoy this may be your car.  This Mk1 looks and feels like a new car.  Gorgeous inside and out, pride of ownership is noted everywhere.

This MGB was purchased in 2010 from noted marque specialist Peter Jurgens of British Sports Cars in San Luis Obispo California.  She is visible on their home page.  The miles when purchased were listed as 3555 and she has led a life of leisure since with just 5120 total miles accumulated. 

MGB's are known for their rust potential like everything European from the 60's. This car appears to be rust free. We can see that the floors have been nicely replaced, but find no other evidence of rust or other previous repairs. The wheel wells are clean. No exterior paint blistering can be found. Rarity

MGB's were very popular in the 60's but like most everything from that era, they were considered disposable. Some survived in better condition than others. A few, like this one, have had extensive professional care. This is the small bumper MGB everyone imitates by ripping the fat bumpers off their later cars.

Exterior

Beautiful Mineral Blue. Original wire wheels with knock off spinners. New Robbins top. Paint is nice.  Glass is all good

Wheels, Tires

Knock off wire wheels are fitted with tubes.  Nice newer tyres. Spare tire and spare tubes.

Engine

Awesome running with dual carbs as standard.  Clearly has been rebuilt but we do not have receipts.Un

Transmission

4 Speed Manual transmission with 1st gear synchromesh (you can downshift into 1st). Shifts through the gears nicely. This vehicle has the rare and highly desired 3/4 overdrive unit that makes freeway cruising so much more enjoyable. Effectively, a 6 six speed.

Very close to new. Perfectly kept. Carpet and floor mats are great.  Beautiful dash. Gauges. Only the shift boot needed replacement and that has been completed.

Title The California title is clean and current. Export ready.
