You'd think people might get tired of all these good-looking Chevelle Malibus on the market, but the fact is, these are flat-out AWESOME cars that are only getting more and more popular in the classic car world. That growing popularity means they also sell very quickly, and beautiful restomods like this dialed-in 1971 Chevrolet Chevelle Malibu 496 featuring a pro-built, big block pumping 435HP, 4-wheel disc brakes, a high-impact paint job, and sporty A/C interior lead the pack in the jaw-dropping department. Take a closer look but do it fast, because gorgeous Chevelles like this never last long.

The vivid Medium Red Metallic paint pegs the desirability meter when it comes to Bowtie performance, and this car is certainly slick, straight, and rock-solid enough to show off with great pride. The upgraded paint is of a very good driver quality and has that deep, wet shine that comes from modern two-stage urethane, and there are no signs that it's been used and abused since this A-body was built just 6,982 miles ago. Nice bodywork emphasizes the crease that runs along the body and makes the fenders look especially aggressive, and we love that the builders showed such great restraint when it came time to pick a hood, opting to go with a more conservative original piece that doesn't give away the monster that lurks underneath. Hard to say if it's a real SS without a factory buildsheet, but after such a thorough and modern restoration it doesn't really matter, does it? You're not looking at this car because it's a concours showpiece. No, you're looking at it because it looks super-slick and someone's already done all the hard work for you. There are a few imperfections that can be seen upon closer examination, but we're talking some fairly minor stuff, and the finish is very uniform, shiny, and looks like a top-end piece from just a foot or two away. There's a bright grille up front with an incorporated SS badge, the turn signal lenses (split on each side to indicate that this is indeed a 1971) have clear covers, and shiny chrome bumpers really look great against the high-impact paint. The black vinyl roof adds a little grown-up flair to the curb appeal, while the chrome on the handles, mirrors, wheel arch molding, and rocker panel trim has been all shined bright.

Modern, high-back black buckets, a full center console, and several choice options inside make this Chevy an easy sell, too. The black leather upholstery was all upgraded and shows only minor signs of use in the higher-traffic areas, and although the seat pattern isn't 100% factory-authentic (as you'd expect with modern buckets), it's a perfect complement to the sporty exterior. Reproduction door panels are Malibu-spec and look great too, as do the plush black carpets below, and that killer pistol-grip Hurst shifter inside the center console will always be the coolest way to pick your gears. The instrument panel is an upgraded carbon-fiber unit that was filled with sporty Auto-Meter gauges, all neatly arranged and tuned to keep a close eye on the big block's vitals. A leather-rimmed billet steering wheel anchors the cockpit atop an aftermarket tilt column, the original black dash and matching headliner help keep things looking clean inside, and options include a modern JVC AM/FM/AUX head unit with upgraded speakers and a Vintage A/C system that's blowing nice and cold. With this car, you also get a spacious trunk finished with plush black carpets that match the cabin.

The big block under the hood of this 'Bu is a Blueprint 496 cubic inch mill built by Vortec Pro Racing and Machine, and my goodness is it a monster. With a recent Dyno-rating boasting 435 horsepower it's got more power than you'll ever need, further augmented with what feels like a sizeable cam inside, a big Holley 4-barrel carburetor, a Weiand aluminum intake, an MSD ignition, and ceramic-coated long-tube headers at the flanks. Chevy Orange paint on the block looks great, and with those shiny aluminum valve covers, a chrome Edelbrock air cleaner, and polished accessories, the engine bay is worthy of being shown off at almost any venue. A big aluminum radiator with dual electric fans keeps the big block nice and cool, and all the accessories are tucked-in tight against the block and run through a serpentine belt system. Long-tube headers help the big block breathe through a true dual exhaust system that sounds incredible through throaty Flowmaster mufflers, and the pans and frame are very solid and presentable thanks to years of conscientious ownership. A quick-shifting TH400 3-speed automatic gearbox with a Gear Vendors overdrive system manages the gears and spins a heavy-duty 12-bolt rear end, while big sway bars fore and aft along with Eibach suspension parts help this A-body handle like a dream. An upgraded power steering system manages the big coupe effortlessly, while a set of Baer power 4-wheel disc brakes help the car stop on a dime. Staggered American Racing Torque Thrust wheels finish off the look perfectly, wrapped in 225/45/17 front and 295/40/18 rear Falken performance radials with plenty of grip.

This Chevelle Malibu has got the 'look' and the hardware to back it up. It's easy to see why they sell so quickly, so if you like this one, don't hesitate, call today!

General Terms

Terms & Conditions

We recognize the need for complete transparency when buying/selling vehicles on eBay. That said, we did not build, modify, or have the luxury of personal ownership that would give us the advantage of knowing all unknown aspects of each vehicle. Transparency is king and we're happy to try and answer ALL questions our customers might have prior to purchasing. Additionally, we welcome and encourage independent inspections (see Inspection statement below).

FEES: A documentation fee of $299 will be added to the purchase price at the time of sale. Sale price does not include any Title, License, Registration, State or Local Taxes or Processing Fees. We recommend you familiarize yourself with your individual state's taxes, transfer, or additional fees.

AVAILABILITY: Please inquire prior to purchase to assure any advertised vehicle is not already sold. We advertise across multiple platforms where a vehicle can sell in a moment's notice. Vehicles may be sold prior to eBay listing end, and we reserve the right to end listings early or to cancel bids/offers solely at our discretion and shall not be held liable for any such cancellation.

CONTACT: Note that you may hear from us after to the sale, but if you are a winning bidder, click a Buy-It-Now, or we accept your eBay Offer, it is your responsibility to contact us within 24 hours.

INSPECTION: VERY IMPORTANT. If a buyer chooses to buy sight unseen (many of our buyers choose this option) the buyer accepts the vehicle AS-IS and understands we cannot address concerns post sale. For this reason, it's important all concerns are addressed prior to purchase. We make every effort to present accurate and reliable information, but use of this information is voluntary, and should only be deemed reliable after an independent review of its accuracy, completeness, and timeliness. It is the sole responsibility of the customer/buyer to verify the existence of options, accessories and the vehicle condition before time of sale.

PAYMENT: We require a non-refundable $500 deposit within 48 hours of winning or commitment to purchase. Full payment is required within 7 days of offer acceptance unless other arrangements are agreed to in writing. If deposit and/or full payment are not provided within said timeframe, all vehicles will be relisted and transaction will be considered void. For balance of payment we will accept bank wire transfer (preferred), cashier's check, or personal check (vehicle shipment will be delayed until check clears). We also offer vehicle financing, please inquire for details prior to making bids/offers. SHIPPING: We have access to a network of private and commercial carriers. Most of them can deliver the vehicle to your driveway and upon your schedule. We assume no responsibility for damages or delays incurred once a vehicle is in a shipper's custody. Buyers are welcomed to trailer vehicles home and we are happy to have everything ready to see you off with your new vehicle.

DRIVE IT HOME: If you plan to buy and drive home, please keep some things in mind. Anything is possible when it comes to a vehicle, especially a classic or antique one. We recommend transporting all vehicles to your home first, then driving it locally. Get to know the vehicle and its tendencies before embarking on a long-distance trip. If you choose to drive your new vehicle home, buyer accepts all responsibility as we are unable to control what may take place once it leaves our facility.

DOCUMENTS & VEHICLE TITLE: All purchase documents are sent immediately upon purchase. To avoid delays, we recommend returning any required documents within 24 hours of receipt. Please allow up to 30 days for vehicle titles. Usually titles are available sooner, we ask for the extra time in the event there are unforeseen circumstances.

VIN VERIFICATION: We photograph the primary VIN location of every vehicle and make sure that VIN exactly matches the vehicle's current title. Buyer agrees to hold seller harmless from any disputes arising from other hidden or secondary VINs present on the vehicle as seller only verifies the primary VIN location. If needed, it is the buyer's sole responsibility to verify secondary VIN locations their specific state may inspect, prior to purchase.

MILEAGES: Occasionally our vehicles may be driven or simply moved around our facilities. Slight differences may occur so we recommend you confirm actual and current miles prior to purchase.

CONDITION: We cover the obvious and do our best to describe our vehicles in detail. Even so, please have a transparent conversation with us before purchasing. Do be aware that all pre-owned vehicles, regardless of age, mileage, or manufacturer are subject to cosmetic wear and mechanical failure. Finally, be advised that although our sales associates are here to assist you with your purchase, they are not trained or certified vehicle inspectors.

AS-IS: All vehicles are sold "AS IS" and with no warranties expressed or implied. If you choose to waive inspection, do plan to have a detailed and transparent conversation with us regarding the vehicle's condition. Ask the hard questions up front. Please just call us, we are here to help and welcome all your questions!

We cannot be responsible for any errors, omissions, or inaccuracies contained in information provided by the consignor/seller of the vehicle.
