Right in the middle of the Muscle Car War....It was 1967 and the big three were duking it out over Horse Power, a changing demographic of buyers and what will be the next big thing in automotive history. Cue the 1967 Camaro that was a all new pony car introduced by Chevrolet, in the fall of 1966 and like all Camaros, shared the platform with the Firebird by Pontiac. In addition to the two Camaro assembly plants here in the US, which was Norwood, Ohio and Van Nuys, California, Camaros were also built in the Phillipines, Belgium, Switzerland, Venezuela and Peru for the rest of the world. Even in the early years, there were lots of engine options and configurations as well as appearance and performance packages offered. What we have here that we are excited to introduce is a really cool stripped down version of the first year Camaro with the optional 327 Cubic Inch V8...So, this Camaro has no power steering, power windows, power locks, A/C or even a power top. It has a great V8, 4-speed manual, power brakes, heat and a AM radio...with a bench seat! Everything you could possibly need in my opinion. This car appeared to have a frame off restoration at some point in its life as the underside is in excellent condition that looks nearly new. The engine bay is tidy still retaining the 327/2 barrel set up. The interior is definitely newer that shows like new. The convertible top is in good condition that operates manually as it should. The one downfall is the paint. Although there is no rust, it looks like it might have had a bad paint prep at time of painting as there are some blemishes, mostly in the hood and trunk lid. The rest of the paint is good with a very nice representation of the Marina Blue. There are two small dents in the rear quarter. I chalk the paint up to be driver quality and surely does not take away from how cool this car is. In fact, this is exactly the type of condition car I would buy, not perfect so you can actually drive it and enjoy it. It also appears that the engine has been gone through as it sounds like there is a very mild cam. This beauty starts with the flick of the key, idles nicely and goes down the road like an excellent cruiser. This is a very nice honest car that is ready for its next adventure.
