I'm selling my 1971 El Camino. This car is in really nice condition. It was restored and painted about 6 years ago. It has had both bedsides replaced and all 4 new floor pans welded in. It has a 396 Big Block with a 400 Turbo Transmission. The engine is not a screaming fast racing engine, but rather a nice driver that runs excellent with just a moderate camshaft, forged pistons, and steel crank. It also has a Ford 9” rear end with 3.55 gears. This rear end still incorporates the original Chevrolet rear brakes for this car. Has power steering, power brakes. It has a new A/C system that is mounted under the dash, and the condenser and compressor are mounted, but the lines and wires ARE NOT hooked up at this time. The engine has a newer style serpentine belt system. The power steering pump is a little weak. It works fine while driving the car, just when the engine is idling around 600 RPM it doesn't provide enough pressure. You can step on the gas up to 800 rpm and it works fine. The power steering pump also drips a few drops of fluid. You can go for weeks without adding fluid, but it does have a small leak. The speedometer works but is inaccurate because of the rear gear change. Fuel gauge works, and has aftermarket oil pressure, voltage, and temp gauges that all work. All exterior lights work except the reverse lights don't come on when you put it in reverse. The reverse lights do however work if you twist the steering column as it used to be a column shifted car. This is a great car that you can drive anywhere right now.636-359-7444 call or text
