For sale on behalf of the owner. this 1964 Alfa Romeo Giulia Sprint GT is a fantastically entertaining car in remarkably original condition.

Launched in 1963. the Giulia Sprint GT featured classically stylish four-seater coachwork designed by a 22 year old Giorgetto Giugiaro for Bertone. who proposed the design as a limited edition production. low volume model.

Alfa Romeo saw the designs and ordered full scale production at the Arese factory.

Hailed as a landmark in the history of car design. the 105 series Guilia Sprint GT was one of the most forward thinking designs of the day.

Overall
This Giulia Sprint GT is unusual. as the majority of Sprint GTs are finished in red and often subjected to the “GT-A look” modifications.

This Giulia Sprint GT remains on the original 155 x 15 wheels and is a joy to drive.

The 5 speed gearbox. light weight and narrow pillars. give excellent visibility and plenty of performance to keep up with modern traffic.

This is a great car to cherish and keep in its original condition. to the extent it would be a terrible pity to restore the interior from its current patina.

Originally sold new in Italy. this Giulia GT was imported to the UK in May 2012. where the mileage displayed is only 10. 89km. which is believed to be genuine.

The car comes with the original set of three keys for ignition. boot and door locks.

Underneath. the car was mechanically restored around 10 years ago. according to the previous owner and an inspection showed the car to be structurally solid.

This Giulia is by no means a concours example. but a solid car to be enjoyed.

Exterior

Finished in Bluette. the Giulia is in good condition. the paint finish is good. with the chrome brightwork in good condition.

Interior
The brown leather interior has had prolonged exposure to heat. as there are some cracks in the seats. Treatment with leather feed has restored the suppleness of the leather. so there is no danger of the seats being ripped.

The headlining is marked. but not damaged.

There is a static seatbelt for the front seat occupants.

The dashboard has not cracked and all dials and instruments work as they should. The original bakelite steering wheel with centre horn push completes the driver's view.

The period radio is in the dashboard and there is an aerial. although not working currently.

In the boot there is a jack and a spare wheel and tyre in very good condition.

Powertrain

The engine pulls strongly and the standard five-speed gearbox works beautifully.

The all-aluminium engine makes a wonderful sound and makes the world a better place!

The car has an MOT until June 2014 and is also taxed until the end of May 2014.

Car is located in Staffordshire. 15 minutes from Stafford.
