By now you've probably realized the folks here at RK Motors Charlotte enjoy finding killer first generation Camaros. The faster. the scarier. the more unique: THE BETTER! In the past few months. we've brought you some of the most mind-blowing. potent and flat-out nasty pro-touring muscle in the world. And based on the countless times I've watched these cars roll out of our showroom almost as fast as they roll in. you guys seem to enjoy them just as much as we do! Then again. how could anyone not love a classic muscle car that can outrun. out turn. out stop and out class machines that are half its age and twice its price? Combining the best of yesterday. with the best of today and tomorrow. this 1969 Camaro Super Sport. with its 502 cubic inch V8. Detroit Speed suspension and upgraded interior. was built for the muscle car fan who wants the absolute best. If you've been languishing at your desk debating a purchase while watching your favorite F-Bodies disappear from our inventory. here's a chance at redemption!

The beneficiary of a professionally finished. frame-off restoration. this slick Super Sport features an athletic appearance that's highlighted by breathtaking black urethane. Steal one glance down the sides of the car's rock-solid body and you'll find that great care was taken to ensure all seams are both narrow and precise. Step closer to the car's mirror-like paint and check out flat surfaces that are a product of both rust-free original sheetmetal and high quality replacement panels. Now grab the car's well-adjusted hood and feel how smoothly it closes to provide an excellent fit that's set off by a glossy clearcoat shell. Ultimately. it all adds up to one very well done classic that's built to exacting specifications via a great combination of skilled workmanship and first-rate finishing.

When it comes to purity of form. I really can't think of a better looking car than the first generation Camaro. It's a solid and straightforward design that continues to age exceptionally well. especially in the company of its extroverted and exaggerated competitors. At the front of this monochromatic F1. a chrome-trimmed grille hangs modern H4 headlights above a body-matched bumper. crystal clear parking lamps and a traditional D80 chin spoiler. Above that grille. a familiar ZL2 cowl induction hood anchors like-new glass behind straight stainless trim and bright-finished wipers. At the sides of that glass. traditional chrome door handles and a correct chrome mirror combine with chrome wheel lips and color-keyed rocker trim to add just the right amount of detail to the car's liquid-smooth profile. And behind that rocker trim. segmented tail lights split a D80 decklid spoiler and second body-matched bumper.

Toss this Chevy's hood and you'll find a 502 cubic inch. 502 horsepower GM Performance Parts monster block that's wedged inside a clean. professionally detailed engine bay. Straight from GM this beefy package utilizes a tough iron block. a forged steel crank. forged steel connecting rods. forged aluminum pistons and a hydraulic roller cam to turn stout 9. 6 to 1 compression into unmatched throttle response! At the top of the big engine. a satin black. single-snorkel air cleaner twists wind into a large Holley carburetor that's fitted with high quality. braided fuel lines. Under that carburetor. an aluminum bowtie intake rides between aluminum GM Performance Parts heads that are capped by stamped and polished valve covers. Below those valve covers. sinister black paint is framed by loomed GM Performance Parts plug wires and ceramic-coated. Hooker Competition headers. At the back of that paint. a Delco Remy distributor sequences sparks past a modern power brake booster. Opposite that distributor. a barrage of billet pulleys spins a tough Edelbrock water pump between a modern alternator. modern air conditioning and modern power steering. In front of those pulleys. a reliable Be Cool radiator cycles coolant past two electric puller fans and a small aluminum overflow tank. And aesthetically. every facet of this Camaro's satin black engine bay has been taken from a 10 to an 11.

Under this tire shredding Camaro you'll find a fully restored chassis that's ready for both the track and the turntable. Behind the car's buff engine. a 4L85E 4-speed. which was programed by the experts at Mild to Wild Transmissions in New Port Richey. Florida. spins a familiar 12 bolt rear end. Opposite that pumpkin. modern power rack and pinion steering puts the RACE in "apex race line". All that 'scoot and slide' hardware rides on a complete Detroit Speed Engineering suspension that's fitted with Baer power-assisted calipers and large drilled and slotted rotors. Exhaust flows from the aforementioned Hooker long-tube headers into mandrel-bent. true-dual pipes that hang a traditional H-shaped crossover in front of dual-chamber Flowmaster mufflers. Power is put to the pavement through a razor-sharp set of Budnik Muroc III wheels that spin 235/40ZR18 Nitto Extreme radials in front of 275/35ZR20 Nitto Extreme radials. And the car's solid floors. which have been coated traditional satin black paint. feature a full array of finishing components that include a new stainless fuel tank. Russell plumbing. a Holley fuel pump and a big Moroso oil pan.

Open this killer F1's doors and you'll find a completely restored interior that conveys a very clean and decidedly vintage appearance. At the center of the car. a leather-trimmed bucket and bench seat combination is in fantastic shape. In front of those seats. a good looking dash hangs retro Classic Instruments gauges between a modern Rockford Fosgate CD player and controls for the car's aftermarket air conditioning system. At the base of that dash. a 1969 Camaro console frames a familiar horseshoe shifter over like-new carpet and tough rubber floor mats. At the sides of that console. standard door panels are decorated with traditional stainless hardware. billet window cranks and correct "Camaro" emblems. At the top of those panels. a tight black headliner. which is stretched over retrofitted shoulder belts. retains all of its color and pliability. In front of the driver. a reproduction Rally wheel spins a red white and blue horn button around an optional tilt steering column. And behind the passengers. the car's fully restored trunk rests a new houndstooth mat beneath a fresh decklid decal.

Recently we've been getting some incredible hardware that owners are selling for way under the cost of construction. meaning you - our customers - are receiving excellent deals on fantastic cars. This awesome Camaro looks absolutely predatory and will likely attract a TON of attention wherever it goes. And with 502 cubic inches of big block power and a whole roster of seamless. top-notch equipment. it's your ticket to pro-touring bliss!
