DESIRED FOURTH YEAR 355 DESIGN! FULLY RESTORED AND ENJOYED REGULARLY WITH ITS FORMER OWNER OF 10 YEARS! EXCELLENT TOURING CANDIDATE! CCCA FULL CLASSIC! SPECIFICATIONS Year 1935 Make Cadillac Model 355E Series 20 Town Sedan VIN 3105494 Mileage Exempt Engine 353ci Cylinders V8 Transmission 3-speed manual Title Color Burgundy/Black Interior Color Brown Cloth DESCRIPTION By the beginning of the 1930s. Cadillac had established itself as a premium automaker. Cadillac was the first automaker to mass-produce V8s. which became standard equipment in 1915. Their L-Head (side valve) design was very powerful and exceptionally smooth in an era when noise. vibration and harshness were prevalent. Continually refined and enlarged. the motor in its last iteration would find itself in the Series 355. The motor was so good that it was voted to Ward's 10 Best Engines of the 20th Century list. As a successor to the Fisher and Fleetwood bodied Series 353 cars. the 355 was introduced with the same 353 cubic inch motor but with a lower and wider profile. With the belief that the best remain the best by continual improvement. Cadillac updated the 355 every year and systematically moved their way through the alphabet. By the fifth and final year of production. the Cadillac 355E was available in seven body styles and boasted several improvements over the vastly modified 1934. Already updated for 1934 were the division of the 355 line into three sub-categories. dubbed the 10. 20 and 30. While the Fleetwood-built 30s were meant to emulate the V12 and V16 halo cars. the Fisher-bodied 10s and 20s were responsible for increasing brand appeal for buyers looking at full-size V8 luxury cars. Comparing a 1935 355E to a 1931 355A. differences extend beyond cosmetics. In addition to better body panel insulation. necessary objects that formerly used to protrude were tucked into the engine bay. The majority of the front end was inspired by the aerofoil design. The new body rode on a new chassis that was lower and a new fully independent front suspension design was implemented. For 1935. the suspension was upgraded to include a stabilizer bar. horsepower rose to 130 and the turret top made its debut on certain moedls!

We are thrilled to offer this 1935 Cadillac V8 Series 20 Town Sedan. Restored and finished in breathtaking Burgundy with black fenders. this 136-inch wheelbase sedan moves gracefully down the road on its red wire wheels. Behind those wheels are standard four-wheel vacuum-assisted mechanical drum brakes. which were newly introduced for 1934. In addition. this Cadillac features a beautiful Brown Cloth interior. rear-mount spare. Coker Classic 4-ply whitewall tires. trumpet horns. cowl vent. front and rear vent windows. driver visor. rear window shade and armrest and. of course. the beautiful 1935 Cadillac hood ornament. While the mileage. interior and glass appear original. we do not have enough evidence to support this.

Cadillac is Cadillac because of these early pre-war cars. Lovingly owned and driven by its previous owner of 10 years. this restored 355E Town Sedan is sure to impress wherever it is driven or shown. These cars are very hard to find in this condition. Please feel welcome to call with additional questions or to schedule an opportunity to see this great Cadillac in person! We look forward to working with you!
