1968 Chevrolet Camaro

For sale is my 1968 Chevrolet Camaro SS convertible, which is located in Calgary, Alberta.

It's a small block 350, (300 hp) 4 Speed car with Hurst shifter, custom ceramic headers and new wheels / tires.

I've used it sparingly as a summer toy (2100 miles) since I purchased it back in the spring of 2009 at the Okotoks Collector Car auction. At that time, it appeared it had gone through a mild restoration with recently rebuilt engine with 700 miles. Unfortunately, it is not the original block.

Since that time I have focused on fixing and upgrading things mechanically. Most of that work has been completed by Carmine @ Classic Performance in Calgary.

The most recent work completed this summer (which involved in lowering the stance significantly) includes but not limited to all new front and rear suspension components, new wheels and tires, new oil seal and oil pan, rear disc brake conversion, service rear axle, oil and filter service etc . I have all the receipts and description for that work and for all the work since we purchased it. So mechanically, it's in fantastic shape. Note that I kept most of the major parts that were swapped out this summer (wheels and tires, suspension components, drum brakes) and can be included in the sale

It does need a new paint if you plan on showing it as there are several chips throughout. It does seem to chip quite easily leading me to believe whoever painted it, didn't seal it that well. And yes I know that's not the right hood for the car. I believe its's a ‘69 hood that would have cowl induction.

The interior, aside from the new dash, looks original and needs to be replaced if you're going to turn this into a show car. I have purchased new carpet and carpet liner which I will include with the car. The vinyl top is in great shape aside from a couple of small tears on the inside of the liner. Not noticeable when the roof is up.

The stereo is an aftermarket AM / FM radio with Aux cable but I've rarely listened to it as the sound of the V8 purring is enough for me.

I had it appraised back in 2015 by Jim Masleck of All Classic Auto Appraisals, which came in at $81,000 for replacement value. We have invested another $19k since that time
