We have done a basic tune-up & thorough inspection. This car is in excellent condition. displaying original components throughout including the outstanding stainless steel body & original clean chassis. This is a turn-key classic car. The exterior displays excellent stainless steel body panels throughout. There are no "dings" to note on this car. The body. interior. engine compartment and undercarriage are in excellent condition. The original coated DMC wheels are in beautiful condition as are the radial tires. John DeLorean's "baby" rides on 14-inch front wheels and 15-inch rear wheels. The Yokohoma tires are sized at 195/60R14s up front & 235/60R15s in the rear.

I want to mention the front fascia and rear bumper have been professionally finished in the correct colors with modern base/clearcoat. You will note the front fascia is free of the typical "eyebrows" these cars suffer. We did this work in-house at our facility. The car came to us with some clear-coat fading before we worked our magic. This car was definately kept garaged during its 32 year life. The black bumpers are original to the car and in excellent condition as well. This car has never been involved in any kind of accident repair and it shows.

The gullwing doors open and close correctly. They stay up and the door lighting works correctly. The power windows work too. The original interior headliner & panels are also intact throughout.  

The interior is also in excellent condition. The dash displays original vinyl in excellent condition throughout. There are NO dash cracks.  The carpeting is clean and detailed. The leather seating is also showing very well. The leather seating is also original with exception of a bolster repair done on the driver's side seat.  This is simply a clean and well-maintained DeLorean that has been driven very little. Just over 14. 00 miles are logged on the odometer. We have also inspected the little device under the dash known as the lambda counter which co-relates the current mileage of 14. 31. The speedometer and odometer are functional. This car is equipped with the 175mph unit for warp speed if you are imaginative enough.

The center console is also in excellent condition as are the buttons and knobs. The instrument lighting works throughout this car as do the indicators. headlamps. turn signals. emergency brake. and horn. The Alpine Cassette stereo system has been professionally installed. complete with a 6-disc CD changer installed in the compartment behind the driver's seat. This is a non-smoker car. The lighter works as well and doesn't appear to have ever been used.

The undercarriage is a further testament to the low-mileage and excellent condition of this DeLorean. The suspension cradle and underbody are outstanding. displaying the original un-detailed coatings throughout. As you DeLorean enthusiasts are aware. many of these cars suffer corrosion of the undercarriage due to improper care and storage over the years.

Factory grease pen markings are also evident throughout this DeLorean along with original paint finishes throughout the undercarriage.

This is one of the best original underbodies to be found on any DeLorean. The exhaust system is original as is the muffler. The original stainless steel exhaust tips are also polished and shine nicely.

The engine compartment displays the original PRV 2. 85 liter engine. Note the engine underhood light is working. Also. original grease pen markings are found underhood. The decals are also original and intact throughout. The louvers and engine cover are displaying their original paint finishes as well. The engine is clean and runs well. The 3-speed automatic transmission also shifts through the gears with authority.

Many of our photos were also taken at Ben Gill Park in Terrell. Texas. Street Machines is located at 27313 FM 429 North in Terrell. Texas. 75161. We are about 30 minutes east of Dallas.

The hood is in excellent condition. The mid-production year and newer 1981 models feature this grooved hood without the "flapper" fuel door on the earlier cars for a much smoother look in our opinion.

Another unique feature is this production car's antenna is located on the driver's side rear louvers. another DeLorean design change made mid-model year.

Open the trunk and you will find clean and detailed original carpeting also with the factory spare tire/wheel and jacking equipment. Note the condition of the original decals throughout. I also want to note the exceptional condition of the weatherstrip throughout this car. The luggage compartment (trunk) light is also working.

This is a November '81 produced car. Note the original data plates are in excellent condition. We have the original owner's manual as well.

The rear netting is an option offered by DeLorean. also intact.

In 1981. this car is emissions compliant. complete with its original exhaust system and catalytic converter.

The tail lights are in excellent condition as is the center panel that holds the license plate down.

The front fascia displays the original spoiler and wire mesh panel in great shape.
