1978 Mercedes-Benz SL-Class

450 SL Convertible Mercedes Benz in a stunning color combination. Runs and drives . The transmission shifts smoothly. All fluids appear fresh and clean and the undercarriage doen't show any excessive rust or wear as seen in the pictures of the undercarriage. This is a California car that has spent half its life in Florida, and a garage kept car with only average wear and tea. The car was not driven much while in Cali and I purchased in around 2017 from Palm Springs, CA from the 2 nd owner.

I took high resolution and close-up pictures so that you can see the entire car with clarity. There is very minimal rust in different places over the car but only noticeable when getting close up. If you're looking for a perfect 10 out of 10 car this is not the car for appear though not a serious project it is by no means an immaculate showroom condition car. I would say this car is about average or maybe below. There appears there appears to be signs of paint in the past though in a 5 year duration which we have owned the car, no paint or other body work was ever performed. The trunk lock is broken.

I have sold dozens of 450 SL's, 380 SL's and 560 SL's and know this bodystyle very well. This white car is very special with the BBS wheels, euro headlights, Nardi Torino steering wheel, and the Zender body kit making this SL a one of a kind. And by the overall exterior and interior, this car was clearly loved for very much and smells fresh and clean. Comes with all books/manuals and records and 2 sets of keys and obviously the hardtop and the softop in black color. The convertible soft top is black and original and could use replacement as there is some discoloring of the plastic window. We can have this job done with your choice of top color (black is factory and preferred) for $800 which includes New fuel pump and many tune up related parts.
