Immaculate Jaguar E-Type Series 2 Roadster 4.2L - Recently Restored for sale

One of the most iconic sports cars of all time - the Jaguar E-Type Series 2 Roadster. One owner for last 35 years, this lovely red example has been stored in a dry heated garage for all that time, with regular starts and runs. Imported from the States in 1986 as a fun investment. At the time classic car prices were soaring. It was in perfect working order when it arrived, but the paintwork and leather was damaged. Prices collapsed in the late 1980s and so the car sat garaged until 2017, by which time the classic car market had recovered. In 2018, AWJ Automotive, Jaguar specialists based in Stoke on Trent were commissioned to carry out a full body restoration. Work included stripping the body to metal and repainting, new leather upholstery and a new hood. The body is now in great condition, no rust, chips or paint cracking. The photos and videos give a close look and show the condition. The glass and chrome trim are in great condition along with the rubber seals around the glass panels.Interior:The upholstery and carpets have been replaced by AWJ. Black leather throughout. Dashboard:The original black dashboard, with all the correct and original dials and all are in good condition. All the dials, gauges, etc work as they should. Steering Wheel/Gear Stick:A classic Jaguar steering wheel. The gear stick and handbrake lever are both in great condition.Mechanics:Fitted with the legendary 4.2L XK Inline-6. The engine starts first time and quickly moves into a smooth tick over. 2 Stromberg carbs were fitted in the US. The car drives as it should. All electrics work as they should and the switches and wiring are in very good condition.History and Paperwork:AWJ injected new life into this stunning red E-Type - an iconic car, ready for many road trips.
