Beautiful 1937 Packard Model 1501 Formal Sedan. This Formal is a completely original automobile and there has never been any restoration done to it. The black paint shines as it did the same day it left the Packard factory in New York. The chrome gleams. Cooling chrome shutters work opening when the temperature raises not more then 180 degrees. Engine runs smooth and has had a complete service. Carburetor was rebuilt by Automotive Restorations Inc. of Lebanon N.J. Fuel pump has been rebuilt by Parker Packard's Complete brake service clutch grabs perfectly. Exhaust is new stainless steel. All shocks have been rebuilt. Gas tank has been restored with electric backup fuel pump although the fuel sending unit was working but when I filled the tank the float is stuck reading the tank is full. Interior is original tan Mohair. There are no rips or tears and the cushions are firm. The jump seats are beautiful and fold in with ease. The division window rolls up and down as it should. Dash and garnish moldings are beautifully grained. All gauges work.

The tires are good, and good tread. A little history about this Packard. It was ordered by Atwarter Kent who invented the closely timed ignition system, and operated the worlds largest radio factory in Pennsylvania in the 1920s and 30s. The Packard came from the Packard Dealership in New York City. It was delivered to Atwarter's summer home in Bar Harbor Maine.Atwarter died in1949 after a brief Illness. The Packard was then purchased by a wealthy car collector named Richard Paine and was in his museum that was also in Bar Harbor Maine. It was then sold to John Peterson who was a Packard collocter and sold Packard's . Peterson of Ct. then sold it in 1962 to Stanly Hamel of Seabrook New Hampshire and passed away in 2012. It was purchased from the estate and I purchased it in 2020. Winning bidder to pay a non-refundable $1000.00 deposit at the end of this auction.Full payment within 7 days. I can assist in shipping from my area. All moving and shipping is the responsibility of the new owner. Thank You James B. Mckenna
