This 1988 Mercedes-Benz 560SL is finished in Signal Red over Palomino leather and is powered by a 5.5-liter V8 paired with a four-speed automatic transmission. Equipment includes a body-color removable hardtop, a black soft top, automatic climate control, cruise control, fog lights, 15″ Gullideckel alloy wheels, and a Kenwood CD stereo. It now shows less than 54k miles, and maintenance since 2018 included replacement of the battery and tires, as well as service to the braking and air-conditioning systems. This R107 SL is now offered with recent service records, manufacturer's literature, a hardtop stand, a clean Carfax report, and a clean Illinois title in the seller's name.The exterior is finished in Signal Red (568) and paired with a black soft top. A body-color removable hardtop and storage stand are included in the sale, and additional equipment includes front fog lights, a power antenna, black side moldings, and chrome-accented bumpers and trim. Factory 15″ Gullideckel wheels wear 205/55 Cooper tires that were mounted in 2018. The brakes were serviced during current ownership.  The cabin features seats upholstered in Palomino leather, and the matching carpets are protected by Mercedes-Benz-branded floor mats. Additional amenities include automatic climate control, cruise control, power windows and locks, and a Kenwood CD stereo.The leather-wrapped steering wheel frames a 170-mph speedometer, a 7k-rpm tachometer with an inset clock, and gauges for fuel level, coolant temperature, oil pressure, and instant economy. The six-digit odometer shows under 54k miles, approximately 2k of which were added during my current ownership.  We now have a toddler and another child on the way, so it's time to make this yours.The 5.5-liter M117 V8 features Bosch fuel injection and was factory rated at 227 horsepower and 279 lb-ft of torque, which is sent to the rear wheels through a four-speed automatic transmission. The battery was replaced in March 2021.
