Bought this car a few years ago with an MoT. When it came to renewal it failed spectacularly. Since then I have welded all the rotten bits, replaced the manifold, done work on the engine and suspension and lots of minor bits. The past two years, it has got through the MoT with several 'advisories.' This year was the first time with none!Because it was built in Japan in 1995 and imported to the UK in 1998 it is subject to the latest emissions tests. Tested cold and didn't pass the first time and, sods law, a headlamp bulb blew on the day of the test, so initially it failed. A new bulb and a good thrashing to get it really hot and it passed the retest! The good bits;- 1 New battery, so starts every time on the button and is very reliable. 2 Is limited to 88mph and checked that the limiter works (on a private airfield!) 3 Fitted with a digital speedometer with the original still on the dash. 4 Fitted with a sports steering wheel but will come with the original one in the boot. 4 Excellent tyres less than 2 years old plus narrow spare and toolkit in the boot. 5 Only four green Cappuccinos left in the UK (although it looks blue in some lights) and only 100 roadworthy ones left in Britain. 6 Is fitted with the later K6a engine, which means a timing chain and no belt to replace. 7 The roof comes off in 3 sections and fits into the boot in the three bags. 8 Comes with full service manual and a full car cover. Not so good bits;- 1 I am now 74 and can't manage to keep working on it. 2 The aircon doesn't work - needs investigating (re-charged and worked for a week and then stopped). 3 Some bastard backed into it and cracked the headlight a week after I had replaced it. (Very small crack and passed the MoT with it.) 4 A tiny chip has appeared on the windscreen. 5 Minor propshaft vibration only at 50mph.  6 Paintwork and edging strips betray that its 25 years old. 7 Most spares have to be imported from Japan and are not cheap. (I can supply contact details).  8 Small split on edge of driver's leather seat. 9 If you are over 5'8" tall, forget it! Come and look if you like but bring proof you have insurance if you want a drive. (Message me)Full ebay payment required before collection. No haggling this time after a w****** who refused to pay what he had bid.!!!! You pay what you bid or you don't get it! Re advertised as successful bidder said the bid was a mistake!!!
