Hello and welcome to my auction for my Ford Capri 2. 8 injection.

I am a part time trader and I took this in part exchange. to be honest I just wanted to own it and drive it for a while!

The previous owner had it for 22 years! It is a credit to him because it is in absolutely beautiful condition for a 29 year old capri. One of the wings has corroded in the usual place but he supplied me with a genuine capri replacement which I will include in the sale.

I am a steel fabricator by trade and I work with an old guy who has been a welder all his life. I took him with me to look the car over. as in his lifetime has welded lots if Capris. It was basically his reaction to it that I did the deal. He said "the car must of had an umbrella over it all it's life".
There is no wax oil underneath hiding anything. there is no filler anywhere and the paint is the factory extra black and it's original.

Everything works! Every button has been pressed. The rear screen heater. the rear wiper. the interior heater and fan. the interior clock. shortly after I bought it the car was put into my local garage for a pre sale check up and the only thing they came back with is one of the rear shockers will need changing as it's knocking slightly.
(The guy would have bought it off me there and then if he had the money).

The interior is the half leather Recardos obviously the leather is showing some signs of wear. but I've seen worse on more modern cars! The door cards are original. no nasty holes cut in as is the parcel shelf. again everything works. The sunroof operates as it should with no leaks.

The engine is very very clean and runs nice and smooth. again I got the garage to give it a once over and tune to get it ready for sale.
The previous owner put a full stainless steel exhaust on which sounds nice and throaty.
The alloys are seven spoke and original to the car. One tyre is on the limit. The rest are fine.

It is Taxed till April and Mot'd till June 2014 the advisories on the MOT are
Near side front tyre close to legal limitRear spring mounts corrodedOil leak
The tyre is still on.
The rear spring mounts are showing signs of corrosion. but are far from needing welding.
The oil leak was rectified straight after the MOT and was a perished oil seal around the oil filter.
According to howmanyleft. com there is only 957 of these 2. 8i capris left in the uk and I challenge anyone to find a cleaner unrestored one than this! It really has been cherished.
I am open to sensible offers or px deals but please hence the SENSIBLE!
I've watched a few capris go on eBay now in miles worse condition than mine at around £5000
