Offered for sale is my Rover P6 Auto.Having a soft spot for these cars since owning one in the 80s at the age of 18 I purchased this car with the idea of giving myself an easy winter project. I suppose nostalgia took over and realistically I will never get time . Plus my real passion is Porsches and I have a few projects that I should finish.What attracted me to this car was its originality and the colour. I believe Lunar Grey is a rare colour . Its more green but very period and looks fantastic once restored.The bodywork is straight but as you can see from the pics it has some scabs here and there. The car is solid. It isn't a rusty old car. Nothing has been hidden , you can see exactly what needs doing.Most panels are salvageable but I would say to change or repair the drivers rear wing and two doors. They are repairable. They are original panels so the fit /lines etc are excellent. Its had some welding in the past but to a good standard not patched.The chrome is straight but has some pitting.The vinyl black roof is in excellent order.The rare 14inch P6 rostyles look great and are in good condition.The tan interior has a lovely patina, The drivers seat needs a repair , heading and dash are superb. Carpet is worn in a few places. Door cards are in great shape.The car fires up with no smoke and settles in to a nice quiet V8 burble. It has a stainless exhaust that is maintenance free, Its not loud just a standard stainless replacement.The car drives well. smooth with a great gear change . It doesn't have power steering so heavy only at low speed. Brakes seem fine but a good clean and check over wouldn't hurt. The mileage is 48390.It has some history but not full. I would say it is definitely genuine looking at the dash, controls etc.This really is a great car and a very easy light winter project with excellent potential.I have set a sensible reserve. After a thorough inspection was carried out the other day of the complete car inside and out a small hole little finger size was found after poking around at rear drivers side under the sill. It would be a very small repair. Please note this is the only structural issue that was found. Bulkhead,under the rear seats ,floors are excellent.Thanks for looking.
