The Chrysler C-300 is the first year of production of the iconic Chrysler 300 letter series cars. Called by some as the first muscle car. they were more of a luxury muscle car but with the emphasis on muscle. The 300 stood for 300 horsepower. That was a huge number by mid 50s standards and it was obtained by the use of the potent 331 cubic inch Hemi motor with dual Carter 4 barrel carbs. solid lifter cam. and larger exhaust. This model car ran 130 mph on the sand at Daytona while also winning the Nascar championship that year. These cars have always been rare and collectible and current prices reflect their desirability. Recent auctions have concourse restorations selling well in excess of $100k. Let's look closer at this car.
This car is a project but it is complete with all the rare and expensive parts required for a concourse restoration. It has the original motor and transmission with the batwing air cleaner covering dual Carter 4 barrel carbs and the original intake manifold. It has not run in a number of years. All the Chrysler 300 emblems. hubcaps. etc are on the car. Only 1 or 2 letters are missing from some of the Chrysler lettering-easily replaced. The body has some rust but it is not terminal. There is rust on the rear quarters and fenders. rocker panels. parts of the floorpans and a small hole on each of the inner front fenders in the engine compartment. I have replacement rocker panels that are included for the restoration. There is NO sign of any previous accident body damage. All the glass in good condition. All the interior is complete.
