1978 Holden HZ Sandman Panelvan in South Eastern, ACT for sale

For Sale: Genuine 1978 Holden HZ Sandman Panelvan I have owned this vehicle for 8 years and in that time have completed a full restoration.

It is an original 1978 HZ Sandman. L32 - 253 V8 and M20 4 speed manual. The engine in the car is not the original engine. It is painted in 567-30529 Supermint Green Metallic. however the original colour is 567-30530 Windsor Blue Metallic.

The van had a bare metal respray in acrylic around 7 years ago and has been garaged ever since. Before Restoration. it had virtually no rust in it and is very straight. Since completing the restoration the car has travelled less than 5000km.

The interior has been restored to original condition. including GTS dash and steering wheel and full length black hood lining. The carpet. door trims and seats have all been reupholstered. Inside the back of the van has been repainted in the original cream colour.

A CD player is fitted in the glovebox. with the only modification inside the car the two 6” speakers in the rear area.

When the vehicle was restored. a body off chassis restoration was conducted. It has nolathane bushes all around. every chassis component has been removed. cleaned. prepared and repainted. no expense spared.

The underside of the body was painted in an anti-stone chip coating.

The GTS wheels are 14x6 on the front and 14x8 on the back. Wheels were sandblasted and repainted. with lockable GTS centre caps fitted. The van has lowered springs in the front and lowering blocks in the rear for a nice ride height.

The engine was reconditioned when I bought it for the vehicle and it is strong and goes very well. I have never had any trouble from it at all. The vehicle has extractors and a new 2 into 1 exhaust system that sounds very nice.

This is a very regrettable sale. Please do not waste my time. genuine inquiries only. The van is a genuine Sandman. seating capacity is 2. GVM 1950kg. tyre placard number is correct. the list goes on. Genuine buyers will know what they are looking at.

The van is currently unregistered. Buyer to pay all freight costs. A fair and reasonable reserve has been set. given these vans are getting extremely hard to find and are very rare in this condition!!
