This is a great example of a very rare early type 19 mk2 golf van.Very original and wearing its age exceptionally well, with only a few minor dings and scrapes which add to its very authentic patina.Inside the van is untouched / standard as it left the factory, the original Golf C style tweed trim has wear on the drivers bolster, but these trims are relatively easy to come by. The load bay is used but not abused, all the original rear van specific floor panels are present as is the original spare wheel. The back  panel also features the ‘hen's teeth' metal loading guard as fitted on the commercial variants at the factory.The body shell is exceptionally good, the underside unbelievable, with no rot in the usual places, panel gaps are all good and original. There are small areas of corrosion on the corners these would need cosmetic attention only.The odometer is reading 81,000 miles which looks to be original from its mot history. The van also comes with an original brochure and period correct VW commercial folder. It has a mk3 golf engine and a 5 speed gearbox, which is really quick. it has a pancake style air filter intended to retain the original age appropriate looks. This is extremely rare vehicle which has just sailed though it's MOT. Mk2 vans are one of the rarest and most collectible classic VWs. As such this makes an ideal usable classic,  perhaps as a promo vehicle for a business or equally it is the perfect basis for resto-mod project to take it to the next level and create something truly unique.Any questions please get in touch Thanks Rich
