Lotus elan +2 / fun road / sprint / track day car unfinished rebuild.for sale buy lotus enthusiast Owing to my health I have to let my project be finished by someone else! Ok, this car is a little radical so probably not for the purists! It was being built for a fun track day / road car The original Lotus chassis has been rebuilt to include TVR style out riggers to mount a 6 point custom made cage superbly done, with removable door bars the chassis work has been done well and has made the car very rigid, you can Jack this car up in any point there is no flex, modified to take a Ford Sierra Diff  fitted, with Driveshaft conversion ( new custom driveshafts) Adjustable rear spring mounts, front Gaz adjustable shocks, new front 4 pot callipers the rear lotus +2 callipers have been professionally rebuilt new discsThe body - the shell was stripped and has been put in an epoxy resin primer, new floors made and laminated to tub, the doors / bonnet need stripping . Now the crazy bit The shell has been arched to take the 9x15 minilites but is done well looks like the old modsports elans of the 70s so is not to everyone's taste. The rear panel has been modified to take the Elan S1-stylerear lights , I just hate the Plus 2 bulky lights new S1 style rear lights included.The front end has been modified to be detachable and again has arches for the 8x15 minilites the arches are done but the front end needs finishing I have stripped some of the old paint . The minilites are fitted with Toyo Proxes tyres all unused although car has been moved around on them new alloy front hubs Ford fitting Engine - Being a big fan of the RS2000 I love the pinto so 2.0L Revivals Pinto Brisca F2 205 block bored out to take 1mm oversized pistons, Mahle pistons fitted with Mahle rings, slightly ported head around valves, standard size valves, to keep with regs .Lyndale camshaft, new balanced crankshaft conrod's slightly lighted, Lyndale sump, Randall distributor, the engine has been run on Fuchs 20w50 Titan race pro R oil and has only done around 6 runs 145.6hp max power at 6750 rpm128.1LB. Ft max torque at 5415rpmThe above figures was with a Downdraft carburettor, so will be higher with the ZZR carbs that are included with the car . I also have a inlet manifold kit for them, there is a nice exhaust manifold too but will need cutting/ modification to fit. Elan alloy fuel tank and new alloy radiator included.Gearbox - because of a disability I have to have an automatic box so a C3 auto was sourced and then sent to Norfolk Automatics to be completely rebuilt, complete with high speed Torque converter, custom made propshaft. The engine and gearbox is now fitted will make an interesting drive, new gearbox tunnel Interior - all stripped out and is gone , now has a carbon dashboard fitted made to take a single instrument pod ( pod not included) a pair of Lotus Elise seats with MX5 mounts but need fitting.This will make a good winter project but there is a lot of work still to do, you will need a trailer to collect I will take more photos in the next couple of days as it's under a sheet at the moment and looks a mess (Oh and yes it does have its V5 in my name Please take on board this is a unfinished project so is sold as seen you will not finish this in a weekend Please please, as my health is not great at the moment can I please ask genuine inquiries only,  happy to answer questions from genuine interested parties,
