IT IS PROBABLY ONE OF THE VERY BEST JAGUAR XJ8's AVAILABLE ANYWHERE & WITH A MASSIVE & COMPREHENSIVE & UP TO DATE SERVICE HISTORY FILE.

The car has an excellent MOT history…. Its only failure since 2006 was for insufficient windscreen washer water!!!

Perfect for the Jaguar collector or enthusiast.

This car cost nearly £40k when sold by Dutton Forshaw of Maidstone in 1997. It was first registered on 01/06/1998 to Mr M J Littlejohns of Sittingbourne, Kent. The car was then purchased by Trevor Baldwin of Northampton on 04/04/2002. He kept the car until it was sold to Mr Gerald Stevenson of Northampton, until I purchased the car from his daughter in 2015 when I lived in Chelmsford. I rarely used the car except on sunny weekends and special occasions when it had covered roughly 3200 miles. In May 2016 the car was old to Mr Andrew Avery who kept the car for two years before selling it to Jaguar enthusiast Andrew Ratcliffe from who I bought the car for the second time. I am a JEC member and have been since 1981. The car has covered just 3000 miles since its Mot in 2017

My car comes with a service history, including some invoices for work undertaken on the car including a receipts for a full service in August this year. It has also had work for all the rear A frame bushes replaced. As well as rear brake pads. The car was waxoiled in 2018 by Ankerbold Prestige & Classic Cars at a total cost of over £700 because Mr Ratcliffe disliked an MOT testers comment re surface corrosion. My car will not need any attention for another 10,000 miles, giving the new owner cost & trouble free motoring. My car drives perfectly with no issues at all.

THIS IS A HIGH SPECIFICATION CAR, MAKING THIS A QUITE UNIQUE & EXCEPTIONAL AND SPECIAL VEHICLE.

EXTERNAL CONDITION

The car looks absolutely resplendent, in Topaz mica metallic clearcoat paint. The colour is stunning. The condition of the paintwork is outstanding, but with some tiny marks more in keeping with a 2 year old car. There is no rust. There is nothing that detracts from the overall appearance of the bodywork. The Chrome work to all areas of the car is perfect and sets this model apart from sport model. The 16” 20 spoke ally wheels are in exceptional condition all round. Tyres are all good with good tread all round. There is a factory get you home spare wheel & tyre and shows little evidence of ever having been used.

MECHANICAL CONDITION

Mechanically the car is excellent, as one would expect of a car with genuine low mileage of just 36,000 miles and full service history in 23 years. Servicing has been carried out predominantly by Jaguar main dealers or Jaguar specialist garages. The engine is smooth, quiet, does NOT smoke or burn oil. There is NO evidence of any oil leaks from either engine or transmission. The cooling system is all ok with no leaks or water usage. All fluids are clean and up to the correct levels. The transmission is quiet and changes up and down without fuss or bother. Performance is brisk and economy is as per the handbook.

The car has had no expense spared in it's mechanical upkeep throughout it's life evidenced by the bills and service stamps in it's 36,000 miles !!!

INTERIOR CONDITION

The interior of the car is excellent and quite clearly has been cared for well maintained. Carpets are clean and in unworn condition condition. Carpets in the boot area are “like new” when traditionally are stained and dirty in this load carrying area. All the seats are spotlessly clean in Barley Leather. All wood trim is bright and polished with no cracking or scratching. All switchgear is fully operational, including the Air Conditioning & Climate Control blows ice cold. There is NO “lift” to the dashboard. the headlining is immaculately clean but sadly is suffering from traditional sagging.

My car will benefit from a brand new freshly installed headlining with original Jaguar headlining cloth at a cost over just over £500 for the new owner

Faults.

One or two small marks but the car is EXCEPTIONAL & OUTSTANDING for the age of the vehicle. It has to be one of the very best Jaguar XJ8's ANYWHERE !!
