I'd like to introduce everyone to Casper, my 1983 E28 520i. He is in 100% original form. Zero aftermarket work. Casper is not and does not want to be a garage queen. He's not a car that should be purchased and stored to be used as an investment. He is a car that LOVES to be driven. Granted he will go up in value over time, but this is a car that must be enjoyed throughout your ownership. 

Why am I saying this?

Every single yard in this car is an incredibly special experience, an orchestra of sensory inputs that simply can't be achieved to the same degree in any other classic. Overall an absolute pleasure to drive and it would be a massive shame for him to be hidden away somewhere instead of enjoyed on the road. This car MUST be driven & enjoyed.

According to HowManyLeft there are only 2 1983 models on the road in the UK and according to CarLogBook this is the only Lapis Blue on the road or SORN. So just to reiterate - this is the only Lapis Blue in the UK. 

The engine runs incredibly well. The original interior is PERFECT (see the pictures, it's like new…). I challenge you to find an E28 with a better interior than this. Gearbox is smooth with every gear change. The ride is sublime, Casper loves cruising at 50 on country roads. 

Despite the paintwork not being perfect (you know, comes with age) he gets more attention and compliments than any of my other cars ever have (and I've definitely owned some flashy cars…). 

I purchased this car last May from Cosford Hall Classic, a reputable group who specialises in E28s. I waited over 2 years to get this exact colour combination and it was definitely worth the wait.  It's perfect. You know that saying “if you don't look back at your car after you park, you didn't get the right car” - You're definitely getting the right car. 

Key Points:

The best exterior colour for an E28, I personally haven't seen another one up for sale (any year, any engine size) in this colour since purchasing it or for the 2 years leading up to me purchasing itThe interior is like new. Genuinely, like new. (see pics) If in the pictures you think you see some scratch/tear/discolouration, it's just the light. This is an extremely reluctant sale due to moving out of the UK soon with business. Part of me is hoping he won't sell so I have an excuse to bring him with me, but deep down I know it will be a quick sale. Please no silly offers. I have been as honest as I can in the advert to avoid wasting your time, so please offer me the same courtesy and don't waste mine. 

So all in all, if you are looking for a 100% original E28 in the best colour combination with a pristine interior that you can daily and truly ENJOY then Casper is the car for you. He's given me many smiles to the gallon, I know he'll treat you just as well!
