1970 GMC C15 1/2-ton pickup. Straight six with 3-speed column shift. Daily driver truck until about 2015, has been parked since. Clean California title. All original and a great candidate for restoration. Runs and drives but can't be considered roadworthy until a full mechanical inspection is performed and defective items repaired. If I was doing it, as a minimum, after the inspection items were corrected, I would do a deep interior cleaning and replace the seat cover, replace all the rubber brake hoses, replace tires, replace clutch package and have flywheel resurfaced, replace all worn tie rod ends and adjust steering box, replace all shock absorbers, replace battery, tune up engine and put in fresh oil and filter, adjust valves and replace valve cover gasket. Replace thermostat. Also, it wouldn't be a bad idea to just replace all the water hoses. Do all these things and you will have a nice daily driver. There are many dings and dents, you can see all of them in the pictures. Always kept in dry climates, truck has very little rust. The worst place is at the bottom of the passenger door. Frame and body are rust-free. Original straight six runs like a dream. I ran the engine at high idle for 30 minutes, no leaks or trouble of any kind. Radiator has antifreeze. Three-speed manual transmission with Three on the Tree. The tree of course is the steering column. The column shifter was disconnected by a previous owner and a floor shifter was “temporarily” installed but this can easily be reversed. Once completed, you will experience something new: A highly-satisfying and ergonomic way to drive your cool old truck.Tires are a matched set of four but they are old. The spare tire is in use. Passenger window stays down. There are also various minor mechanical issues such as the temp gauge is inop, choke cable needs to be lubed, stuff like that. Rear bumper has a 2” trailer ball. If you would like to hear the truck run when you pick up, please bring some jumper cables. The latch on the camper shell does not work and the door flops up and down. Odometer reading exceeds mechanical limits. Comes with the tow bar, attached in front. Uses a 2” ballThank you for looking.
