This is your chance to own a piece of motoring history.

Incorporating retro vibes with performance to match it's looks. From the glorious sound of the mid mounted 2.9L V8 engine to the driver orientated interior, it is not hard to imagine yourself racing your way through the countryside consuming each and every bend.

Introduced at the Parris motor show in 1975, the Pininfarina styled Ferrari was the replacement for the ageing yet pretty 246 Dino GT & GTS. It featured much more squared off styling reminiscent of the design trend of the time yet offered more functionality and convenience over the outgoing model. The new 308 had a steel tube frame with separate body and shared many parts from the original Dino but incorporated a new transversally mounted 90 degree 2.9L V8 with a transaxle, fully synchromesh, dog-leg 5 speed manual transmission. Suspension was all independent with double wishbones, coaxial coil springs and hydraulic dampeners with anti-rollbars. Ventilated disk brakes were on all 4 corners.

In 1977 the Targa toped 308 GTS was introduced with a one-piece removable roof panel that could be placed behind the rear seats to give a much more immersive driving experience. 1980 saw the introduction of the Bosch K-Jetronic mechanical fuel injection system leading to the 308 GTBi & GTSi. The carburetted and fuel injected models were visually identical save for the metric sized wheels of a slightly different design.

This 308 GTSi was Imported from the states in mid-2013 (QLD compliance 30/5/2013) with a fully documented 55,000 miles. In the last 2000 miles it has undergone full mechanical overhaul including the replacement of all belts, seals, wheel bearings, suspension bushes and oil pump making this Ferrari perform to exacting standards. It presents in good original condition for its age, well suited for weekend blasts through the mountains.

Priced competitively on the market, these Ferrari's are seeing a resurgence in the marketplace making them a good investment for the future. This is a fantastic opportunity to get behind the wheel of a beautiful classic Ferrari.
