Up for auction is a 1957 Chevy Belair Wagon code 1062D. This is a fun cruiser, and it is completely serviced and ready to go have some fun. I have been driving the car around town and it’s a blast to drive and it gets a lot of attention and thumbs up. It is a South Carolina car with a clean South Carolina title.  

 

The 327ci motor pulls nice and strong, and it has a performance camshaft, but I don’t know the specs on the cam. The car was completely serviced on 10-21-21 including the following: Carburetor cleaned & serviced & choke repaired, Oil & Filter change, replaced spark plugs, new points, set timing, new battery, replaced a couple of light bulbs, chassis lube, inspect brakes, inspect cooling system, inspect & serviced transmission, and rear end, tightened various nuts and bolts, replaced air filter, and charged the AC system. Like stated above the car can be driven home, its ready.

 

The body on the car is in pretty good condition even though the paint is old and patina style. The doors shut and fit well, the windows roll up and down, and the only real rust on the car is in the floor pans. There is some rust through in the pans and a little weak in areas… and a little on the rocker corners. You can drive the car fine and enjoy like it is but if you want to restore this wagon the floors and rockers will need repaired. There are some cracks in the glass as well. They have been there for several years and didn’t bother previous owner. They add to the patina character of the wagon.  It’s a great driver/cruiser… not a showboat.

 

The interior is about a match for the exterior with original door panels and what not as you can see in the pics. The seats are in fine condition as well as the rear hatch and area. The original color interior is 688 which was Black/Copper/Beige cloth/vinyl.
