Hello,

You are looking at my Beautiful 1974 1.6 VW Karmann Ghia.

In the time I've owned her I've spent a lot of money on getting her back up to tip-top condition which is what these stunning cars deserve.

The entire engine has had a full recondition by my trusted mechanic with no expense spared. All tired components have been replaced. I have also had a New Carbourettor fitted as the old one was simply not unto scratch.

The bodywork is in superb condition. Having been in the UK since the late 90s, the car has previously undergone a full restoration of floor pans and all the ‘usual troublesome' areas, the car would have been treated to a re-spray around the same time. These works were carried out prior to my ownership by the previous owner(s).

The interior seats and dashboard has been recently replaced and even has the karmann ghia emblem sewn into the head rests.

There is a Retrosound Bluetooth DAB FM/AM radio which is period correct and ideal for hooking up your mobile phone for playlists.

The cars look has been kept as original as possible. We all have different tastes but I find the original ride height suits the car and equally makes for a more comfortable ride. The wheels are the original style, refurbished steels with chrome VW caps.

The only thing I would like to get done is have the fuel gauge refurbished as it is temperamental right now. Apparently a common quirk of these ghias/beetle.

The history of the car is incredibly well documented, originally registered in 1974 in Georgia, the car spent 6 years with its owner before being sold to its second owner from Florida. Both very dry climates, the car stayed in the USA until it was Imported to the UK in the late 90s.

I have a big wallet full of receipts and interesting paperwork from its time in the USA in the 1970s including old insurance certificates and servicing documents.

I'm only able to share 12 photos on here however I'd be more than happy to share more if needed including videos etc..

The reason I'm selling? Totally In love with these cars however, circumstances have changed and so unfortunately, the Karmann needs to go to a new home before winter hits.

I have described the car as honestly as possible and have priced the car with all of the above and current market in mind. She's not concours but beautiful nethertheless. If you are interested then please do get in touch and of course come and see the car for yourself.

Thanks for looking.
