1967 Daimler V8 250, £18500 Agreed Insurance Valuation.

The Daimler 250 V8 uses the same body shell as the Jaguar Mk 2, but in place of either the 2.4, 3.4 or 3.8 engine it has the 2.5 V8 engine which was also used in the Daimler SP 250 sports cars. The 250 saloon is a rarer car than its Jaguar siblings but curiously the average price is significantly lower at least for the time being.I am the 4th owner of this lovely car. I bought it in April of this year, expecting to keep it for the rest of my days. However, due to a dramatic change in my personal circumstances, I now need to sell - not least as I no longer have a garage.It is not a Concours car, but is a very good one. I went to North Yorkshire to buy it and drove it back the 400 miles when it drove perfectly. In total I have travelled around 1000 miles without fault. Although the car does not need an MOT, I had one carried out just after I bought it for my peace of mind. There were no issues apart from an advisory for slightly perished tyres. Since purchasing, I have replaced all water hoses, fitted new stainless steel water pipes and a new viscous fan coupling. I have also fitted a new electric aerial and a new alternator regulator. Just prior to my purchase it had a new fuel tank and a new set of HT leads. The driver's leather seat panel was replaced by the last owner but is yet to be dyed.The previous owner bought the Daimler in September 1999 from Hurst Park Automobiles in East Molesey, Surrey for £12750, the recorded mileage was 29700 (see paragraph below). She described it as a premium price for a premium car.  In 22 years, she and her husband drove some 17000 miles and the car was always garaged.I have every MOT for the car back to 7th June 1971, when the mileage was 6190. On September 25th 1978 the recorded mileage was 29925 and at the next MOT on July 14th 1979, the mileage was recorded as 829 due to the replacement of a faulty speedometer with a new one. This mileage moved on to 47309 at the last MOT on 23rd April 2021. So in total the car's present mileage is circa 77000. Prior to my ownership the last MOT was carried out in September 2015, MOTs no longer being required for road use.The Daimler was supplied new to Mrs Annable who lived in Marlow by J R Inwards (Marlow) Ltd. She owned the car until September 1993 when it was sold to Mrs Eloise Tinley of Maidenhead who kept it until 28th May 1999, when it was acquired by Hurst Park.I have a current agreed insurance valuation of £18500. I also have the original handbook, Owners Service Policy, Service Booklet and Factory Maintenance Chart. Some spares come with the car including a rear wheel spat. I also have a set of chrome wire wheels and hexagonal spinners available by negotiation.Any questions and/or inspection welcomed.
